I get up out of bed and get dressed. There were birds chirping letting me know that spring was just around the corner. There were small patches of snow on the ground. The sunlight was making the snow glistening and magical. The trees were bare, it had no snow and no sign of life coming back. I turn around and walk to my dresser and closet to get ready for the day. After I get dressed I head out of the room and down the hallway to the bathroom. I enter the room and turn on the light.

I grab my toothbrush and turn on the sink. I put the toothpaste on the toothbrush and started brushing my teeth. After I walk out of the room and head down the stairs. As I descend down the stairs I turn on the lights. The lights shine bright taking away any sign of the darkness and replacing it. I walk over to the kitchen and turn on the light.

I go to the fridge and get breakfast. After looking for food I walk over to the table and sit down. I eat my breakfast in peace. There was no sound, only my fork scratching against the glass plate. The waffles were nice and warm with homemade syrup. I take my time eating food. Too delicious to finish it right away.

I finish the food and put the dishes in the dishwasher. I close the door, start it, and walk away. The apartment was dead quiet. The only sound was the water in the dishwasher going. I walk over to the living room. I brush my finger on the wall as I walk. The wall was cold and hard, the wallpaper in the hallway was slowly coming off the wall. There were parts where it had fallen off the wall. The floorboards creak under my weight. I sit down on the couch letting it take me away from the world. I take a deep breath in and then out. Not long after sitting there, I hear a door open up. I look up at the stairs and Shee Jessica coming down the steps. She is wearing a big blue undershirt with brown shorts with the trim around the bottom white. She had bed hair, it was all over the place. Her bangs covering her face.

She comes down the steps sluggish, she reaches the last step. She looked at me and her eyes were tired. She makes her way here and slouches down on the couch. Her right arm is on the couch arm and props her arm up so she is leaning into her hand. He chin in cupped into her hand, she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath in. I looked up at the clock and saw that it was 7 o'clock. I get up and get my shoes on and walk out the door. I look back inside before I close the door. I see that she has her left hand up and is waving goodbye to me. Her eyes still shut closed and her head in her hand. Leaning up against the couch. I closed the door and walked down the stairs and got to the car. I unlock the door and hop in.

I turn the key and it comes to life. I turn on the radio and turn the wheel to leave the complex. It doesn't take me long to reach work. I turn off the car and get out. I lock the door behind me and make my way to the front doors. I place my right hand on the door handle and walk-in letting it swing closed behind me. I walk past the front desk and press the button for the elevator. The doors open and I walk in. I close my eyes for a little bit letting it take me up to the third floor. It dings and the doors open I walk out, I step on the carpet. My heels are silent, the office was somewhat quiet since there is almost no one in this early in the morning.

I get to my desk and set my bags down. They make a clink on the desk. I sit down on the chair and relax and take a deep breath in. I sink down and look up, the bright lights taking me back to the time I escaped the building letting the sun reflecting off the snow on the ground. I shake my head and look at the monitor screen that was staring back at me. It was black and dark. I see myself staring back at me. I bend down and press the power button to turn it on.

It comes to life with the whirl of the fan on the inside. I turn on the monitor, and log in. I put in my password. And get all set for the workday. Not too long Savannah and James both walk in. They were in conversation to focus on what they were talking about. They paid no mind to me especially when they sat down. They just kept talking. I was looking down at the screen just minding my own business.
