Seto's POVWhen I had first woken up, I could still feel the sword in my stomach. It was suffocating for a mere moment, and then it was gone. Then I was in a hospital room with my mom, and nothing hurt, and I was alive.
Thank God.
Tests were run all afternoon as doctors tried to determine the cause of my sudden coma. They told me that a boy named Connor had gone into the coma first, and had woken up first. I had not gone into the coma second, but I came out second. They were intrigued, to say the least. I had finally been let loose a few minutes ago when they agreed that nothing was medically wrong with me.
I jogged slowly down the hall, flashing a tired grin at the nurses as I turned the corner into the hall where we had all been kept.
"Phat!"
A relieved smile grew across my face as I spun around. Ryan, Quentin, and Ian were leaning against the wall near one of the rooms.
"Oh, this is a huge relief. Has anyone else woken up yet? Are they going to?" I asked once I joined them. Ryan shrugged.
"My guess, we all died?" he asked. I winced as we all nodded.
"Yeah, then nobody else will probably wake up until they die. And we have no way of finding out, because apparently all visitors except family have been barred from visiting those still out." He muttered.
Ian cursed. "Seriously? We were in the coma too. By the way, you guys didn't tell, did you?"
Quentin snorted. "I doubt they'd believe us. Oh, yeah! We all had the exact same dream where we were sucked into our jobs and fought herobrine!"
Ian elbowed him but was chuckling all the same. "Shut up. We don't even know how it happened. I frankly don't want to think that it happened."
"Hey, guys!"
Jerome and Jason were jogging up the hall towards us, grinning. I waved cheerfully as they approached.
"Let me guess," Ian joked, "How'd you die?"
Jason choked. "Um, sword in the back."
"Sword to the eye." Jerome said quietly.
Quentin winced. "Damn. Who got you?"
"Adam. Well, Adams alter, to be exact. He had an episode during the fight and killed Jason as we escaped. We fell, and I was history. In fact," Jerome looked around. "Anybody seen Ty yet?"
I shrugged. "He's probably still getting cleared. Shall we go see if Adam killed Mitch, or if Mitch killed Adam?"
Jason punched my arm. "Dude!"
I held my hands up in surrender. "Sorry, sorry, couldn't resist. Lets take a walk and see who we find."
About three minutes into our walk, Ty appeared out of an elevator. Mitch and Connor joined us not ten minutes later and we walked around for a while, but there was still no news of Adam.
We ended up in a cafeteria with a bunch of coffees to hold us over.Mitch finally coughed and voiced the question we were all afraid to ask.
"What if, you know, what if he didn't die?" He asked.
Jerome shrugged. "You were the last to die. Was there anybody there to kill him?"
Mitch snorted. "Nope. He was still the alter when he killed me and we were alone."
"So, there is a good chance he is still alive and stuck in there." Ty muttered.
"Or there's a chance Lilac showed up and stabbed him or a slow one ate him or something." Jason said.
Connor turned a sickly pale and Mitch wrapped an arm around him. "Guys, don't." He warned.
Jason frowned. "Sorry. I just wish he would hurry up and die already."
Ian whistled. "Dark, aren't you?"
"Ian?"
I spun around so fast I almost knocked my coffee over. Quentin choked on his, and Ty leapt up.
Adam was standing a few feet away from the table, shifting awkwardly from foot to foot. Ty tackled him in a hug before Ian could respond. When he was done, he dragged him over to sit with us.
Ian nodded. "Adam. How'd you die, then?"
Adam's eyes bugged out. "I died?"
Ryan nodded. "We all did. That's how we got back here."
"So...That was all real, then? Did that all happen?" He whispered.
Mitch nodded. "We were in minecraft, and now we're not. We don't know how, we don't know why, we just know we aren't talking about it. None of us would really look good in a straight jacket."
Adams eyes traced Mitch's arm around Connor, but then he snapped back and nodded. "So, everything is normal. We all caught some really contagious disease or something."
I nodded. "Exactly. Back to our normal lives, I suppose."
