I had become Nick’s bitch, and there was nothing I could do to change it. Not that I cared anymore. Nick was lounging on his bed when I walked in.

“My favorite servant. We are going to make history tonight. No longer hiding. Humans will know who truly is the greatest species once and for all,” Nick smiled devilishly.

I bowed my head in response. I knew better than to reply verbally. Marnie walked in and joined Nick on the bed.

“You may leave Andrew. Go out with Sloan to find some game for tonight as we will be celebrating,” Nick ordered.

I walked out and found Sloan waiting in the courtyard for me. We sped to town and once there spoke.

“Nick needs to be taken down,” Sloan said.

“I know, but he still doesn’t fully trust me,” I sighed.

“He will trust you if you kill Violet,” Sloan suggested.

            “Kill Violet? How?” I asked.

“You’re not broken yet Andrew. You may feel broken, but you’re not.”

“If I killed Violet I would be putting her out of her misery. She’s had a rough life, and if I killed her it would be quickly, rather than painfully by Darren,” I explained.

“All Nick wants if for you to kill Violet. If you do that, you have his trust, and then, you can turn on him and kill him. There’s always a sacrifice,” Sloan reminded.

“I thought he would be satisfied when I killed Blade, but no,” I gritted.

“Over there, those girls seem like they would please Nick,” Sloan said nodding to the right.

“Looks come in handy when hunting,” I sighed.

“That’s the spirit,” Sloan said sauntering over to the group of girls.

I stayed back and watched him charm them. He was pointing over to me and I smiled and waved, and some of the girls giggled. I felt sick, but this was what I had to do. Sloan brought the four of them over.

“Andrew lead the way to our bonfire,” Sloan smiled.

“Follow me,” I said with a friendly smile.

We always preyed on tourists, that way no one in the town would suspect anything. These American girls wouldn’t be noticed missing for a while.

“How far into the woods is it?” one girl asked.

“Not too much further,” Sloan said.

We were far enough from town that you could see the castle and the girls started looking at each other.

“What castle is that?” one of the girls asked.

“Do you want to look inside?” I asked with a smile.

“Wouldn’t we get in trouble?” another asked.

“I am from here, and trust me, we wouldn’t get in trouble,” Sloan laughed.

“Well, yeah that sounds fun. Is it for tourists?”
