fake smiles

chapter 1 (pg. 2)

I hear my alarm clock going off meaning I had to get up so I groaned and on cue my phone rang

"hello" I say in the phone half way sleep

"get yo ass up nigga" he says smoking a blunt on the phone

"no I don't wanna go to school" I wine as I snuggle in the cover

"nigga its the first day of high school, you had enough time in the summer to sleep" he says still smoking as I lay my phone on my pillow beside me

"mhmm I'm about to get up" I say falling back to sleep

I hear music start to blast in my ear and jump up "why would you turn that music up  like that" I wine

"I knew yo ass was gon go back to sleep" he says 

"stop being a baby" he says

"fuck you I'm up now , bye" I say

"you betta not-" he says but being cut off by me hanging up on him

"that nigga always waking me up" I think as I roll my eyes 

I take a 15 minute shower put on my under garments then go to eat a bowl of cereal due to me not wanting to taste toothpaste while I ate

after I finished eating I went to brush my teeth and wash my face then decided to go look for something to wear

"zaylin you up?" I hear my mom say as I finish lacing my shoes

"I can drop you off to school in 15 minutes but you gotta catch the mta home" my mother says through the door

"ok ma" I say as I watch tv waiting to leave

30 minutes later....

"ok baby ill see you later" she says handing me 20 dollars

"take 5 for the bus pass and you can have the rest" she says

"thanks" I say getting out the car

I walk into the school and the first thing I notice is how much older everyone looked

"hi your cute, what's your name?" I hear 

the girl had to be at least a junior due to her face and body looking more mature "its Zaylin" I say

"my name is Bri, you should call me if you ever wanna have some fun" she says with a piece of paper in her hand trying to give it to me

before I could say anything I hear "nah he good, he don't fuck wit no freak bitches" 

I turn and realize its Dion with Dashawn "who said I was a freak" she says

"shawty you said it your self" Dashawn says

"talking bout YoU sHoUlD CaLl Me If YoU eVeR wAnNa HaVe FuN" dion says mocking the girl

"I'm not a freak" she says as her eyes water

"shit you is a nasty ass bitch just coming up to people and saying that but shit you can suck my dick" Dashawn says as she walks away crying

"damn these freakys sensitive" Dion says 

I walk away annoyed with their presence "damn baby I was just kidding you know this dick for you" Dashawn says as I fake gag

"boy your delusional" I say as they start to catch up with me

"damn why you always got an attitude" Dion says sucking his teeth

"yall always doing too much, how y'all know if I liked the girl or not?" I say as I roll my eyes
