It took some time of shoving the key into different doorknobs before it finally went in smoothly and he unlocked a door. Although not sure about the fact he was in the farthest back room, he was glad to finally put his stuff down and get some rest.
Walking into the room it was clear that the inside of the inn was just as bad at the out. The smell alone made one want to gag. It was as if someone had left the ingredients for dinner out long enough for the germs to start their own colony. The bed looked ragged and he wasn't sure he would be able to lay on it without it giving way.
He couldn't be picky though as he sat his bag down on a wooden chair that was, at one point, probably a sturdy piece of furniture, but was now missing an arm and well chipped away.
"Clearly this place is still going due to the alcohol," he sighed opening another door that lead to the inner bathroom, but jerked the door closed. "not the accommodations..."
He decided that he would live without brushing his teeth for one day, and that, despite the smell most likely driving away any unwanted guests, he would have to use the bed.
However, sleep was almost non existent, with him only getting a few minutes here and there. So it was no surprise when the sun rose and he felt just as exhausted as the night before.
He got up and ran his hands through his hair, making his already disheveled black hair, even more so.
He could waste another hour in the place so he rushed to get dressed and be on his way, when a knock was heard on the door.
"Sir..." a quite voice fallowed the sound. "I'm from the front desk. Um... " the voice was that of a you g girl who seemed to be uncomfortable with the conversation as she stumbled over word after word. "So I.... must tell you, something.. someone, seems to have taking you......"
Benson couldn't make out the last word but knew that whatever she was talking about, it wasn't a good thing. So he finished buckling his belt and opened the door, still half naked.
Shocked at the sudden movement and the bare skin now in front of her, the girl rushed to cover her eyes and crouch down, still going off about apologizing.
