Its been heavy for you. Now that he was gone you worried about Eri and Kohana not being able to see Hitoshi. Eri kept asking for him but she was too young to understand the situation.
You feared him a bit but you could just let him see the girls one last time.
You had courage to walk back to your old home. You were nervous the more closer you got to the house. Once there you slowly reached the door. Knocking three times.

There was silence

You knocked again and this time you got an answer.

Hitoshi unlocked the door. His hair was messy and the eyebags were much darker than usual. He widened his eyes to see you standing on the porch.

"..(y-y/n).." He said.

You opened your mouth to speak but nothing came out.
You were nervous.

He stood there patiently. "Its ok..have your time.."

You calmed down and spoke, "I came to bring Kohana and Eri..I just wanted them to see you one last time..."

Saying that made him happy since he was going to see his daughter and adopted daughter.
But this was the last time right?

You stepped inside along with the girls. Eri immediately ran off to her room. Hitoshi smiled and closed the door.

"Sit.." he said.

You let Kohana sit in the floor. She began to crawl. You sat on the sofa.

You missed being here. A place you once called home.

"Here." Hitoshi came back with a cup of juice.

"Thanks." you said.

He saw Kohana crawl. She then stood up and walked towards him.

You choked on the juice.

You've only seen her crawl until today she gave out her first few steps.
You and Hitoshi looked at each other.

Kohana smiled and laughed. She finally made it to you guys but sat down.
Hitoshi picked her up.

"I'm proud of you sweetie.." He began to tear up.

"It was nice.." you said.

He put her down and looked at you, "I'm truly so-"

You slowly backed your head, "Uh.."

You began to see his purple pupils go white. He then fell on the floor and wrapped his hands on his head. He then yelled.

You were scared and stood up. You were about to grab Kohana but something stopped you.
You felt your body weakened. As you fell on the floor as well like a ragdoll. You looked at Kohana as she smilled and laughed. On her head was two tiny white horns as your vision went white and a noise started to ring on your head.

Bringing you to a thought

This thought went on and on.
Repeating itself over and over agian. You were imagining the return of Kai. The guy who used to love you. Eri's so called dad.
You felt like he was there taking advantage of you to the point where he whispered into your ear.

"I'll come back."

The loop was so realistic you couldn't handle it. You were paralyzed. You couldn't move. Like if it was a sleep paralysis. You tried to scream but couldn't.

Until you felt a tiny hand smack you. You opened your eyes to see Kohana looking at you. You sat up tears were streaming down your eyes. You wiped it off. As for Hitoshi he was terrified. The look in his eyes.

"Hitoshi?" you spoke in a groggy voice.

"I-I..." he was about to speak but looked at Kohana, "Kohana.."
He looked up at you, "You have who knows how many quirks but did you do this?"

I shook my head as a no.

He looked back at the baby. "Don't you think..." he gasped, "Look!..she has a horn! It was her but how?...she's not four yet to have a quirk."

"I know it wasn't me because I don't own a quirk like that." I said. "What do you remember feeling?"

He looked at me, "I felt controlled. I couldn't move. Something led me to scream though but the dream was a terrifying. It was me loosing the three of you. He killed you guys.." Hitoshi began to cry.

"Who?"

"That bird guy...Kai.."

You put the pieces together.

You guys were controlled by a nightmare. The thing being about Kai's return. But how since he died. Maybe you guys are traumatized by him since you were the one who killed him and his spirit is really mad about it.

But this all came from Kohana.

'Did her quirk develop already?' You thought.

You picked her up. The small horns on her head was a bit bigger. It looked like Eri's but polished white. It shined as the sun hit it with its rays.

She definitely manifested her quirk.

You got worried and decided to leave and see what her problem was.

Once out of the clinic. The doctor told you that she was already born with her quirk. That can sometimes happen. Aware of her power you tried your best for her to control it. You still was unsure of its nature and decided to just go home and forget about it.

Once home you slept in the girls room. You still wasn't sure if you could forgive Hitoshi or not.

You did miss him..
