School is Hell

I woke up screaming as the scenes from my mother's death replayed in my mind. How could she be killed like that? Such a precious person has been forever ripped from my family's loving arms, and there's no way that we'll ever get her back. I didn't want to go to school today, but a part of me realized that if I was going to fight this battle, I didn't need to fight it alone. As I was pulling myself out of bed, my hyperactive older brother Asher came in. He started yelling "Baby sisterrrr wake up! It's time for your first day of school!" God how I wanted that boy to get off of me, he was heavy and reeked of flat sprite. "Okay!" I mumbled through my sheets. "I'll get up." Asher skipped happily out of my room and down the stairs. Sometimes I honestly wondered about that kid. When I came down stairs I was greeted by my god awful step-mom Linda. Oh how I hated that lady with all my guts, she was always downing me and Asher and never really respected my dad, but I guess love is blind right? My dad made Asher drive me to school and what a terrible idea that was. The whole time there we were arguing about the radio station, Asher loved Techno , and I loved jazz. Finally, we were at school. The banner said "Welcome Back All Lakeview High Students!" I was less than excited to be at a new school with people I'd never met. Oh well, first things first, right? As soon as we walked in Asher went running in a new direction, so much for him being a good older brother. I got lots of weird stares from people as I walked down the hall, I just brushed it off. I made it to my locker, as soon as I closed it there was a girl standing there looking dead at me. She said "Hi, I'm Finley!" Man, was she beautiful , she had the prefect dirty blonde hair, gorgeously skinny body, and standing at 5'6 she was the most perfect thing that I had ever laid eyes on. "Uh, hi?" I said nervously. "I know you're new here and I just wanted to say welcome to Lakeview High! I'm the school president so it's my duty to welcome all new students here with a hug and a bright smile!" Something about this girl didn't seem right, who could be this happy on the first day of school? Oh well, I just ignored that thought. Maybe this could actually turn into a meaningful friendship. Finley walked me to my first period class, then happily walked off humming some Katy Perry song. When I walked into class I could feel that all eyes were on me.
