Chapter 9 - Unexpected Guest: Part 1

"It's been a day and still no reply from Byul..." Hye Jin thought looking through her cellphone while she gets ready for work.

"Hye Jin ppali!! Baegopa ([pronounced the first letter as "p" though spelled with letter "b"] quickly!! I'm hungry)!!" Whee-in shouted from the living room.

"Ugh al-ass-eo al-ass-eo ([pronounced the second letter as "r" though spelled with letter "l"] okay okay) Whee-in I'm coming!" Hye Jin shouted back.

"What took you so long than usual? Were you doing a ritual or something?" Whee-in asked when her best friend walked out to the living room.

"Ha ha funny, I was just..." Hye Jin said glancing at her cellphone and Whee-in. Whee-in took her phone in a flash.

"YA (HEY) WHEE-IN!" Hye Jin said in surprised and annoyance.

"Why is Moon Byul's text open Hye Jin?" Whee-in asked eyeing her best friend.

"Mwoyo? Itjjyanayo geu hwajangsireul juji maseyo (what? Hey don't give me that look)!" Hye Jin said taking her phone back.

"What look? I'm simply asking you why your ex boyfriend's current's text is open in your phone and it looks like that you were planning to text her. Is there something that I do not now?" Whee-in asked.

"I was just curious why she hadn't text me back..." Hye Jin said softly.

"What was that?" Whee-in asked tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Quick, think of an alibi Hwa Sa!" Hye Jin thought to herself.

"I was just checking if I had messages, and it was coincidence that Moonbyul's was open when you took it." Hye Jin said trying to save herself.

"Who are you trying to fool here? Me or you?" Whee-in asked.

"Shut up! Let's go, I thought you said you were hungry." Hye Jin said changing the subject getting her bag.

"Gaja ([pronounced the first letter as "k" though spelled with letter "g"] let's go)! I'm starving!" Whee-in said standing up.

"Didn't you eat before going to my apartment?" Hye Jin asked getting inside the driver's seat.

"Ani (no)." Whee-in said immediately.

"Wae (why)?" Hye Jin asked.

"I wanted to eat in Lion 95." Whee-in said.

"Ya babo ([pronounced the first letter as "p" though spelled with letter "b"] hey fool) the restaurant will still be close when we get there." Hye Jin said.

"You have the keys right?" Whee-in asked grinning at her best friend.

"Of course I do! What does that have-" Hye Jin said.

"Cook for me then!" Whee-in said showing a big smile.

"You don't want your cute best friend to starve right?" Whee-in asked in an aegyo way.

"Aigoo al-ass-eo al-ass-eo ([pronounced the second letter as "r" though spelled with letter "l"] okay okay)... I hate you." Hye Jin said driving off.

"I love you too Hye Jinnie." Whee-in said.
