                                                                                  JACKIE'S POV

I woke up due to my stupid alarm. I grabbed my phone and threw it on my bean bag just so the ringing would stop. After 5 minutes I got tired and finally decide to wake up.

Today was the day I will go to live with my uncle and his family. At least I'll get to spend plenty of time with PJ. He is my cousin aka a brother I never had.

I see to my right and find all my bags packed and ready to go. I go to take a long and hot shower.I wrap a towel around myself and walk to my closet. I pick out an off shoulder cream colored loose sweater and black skinny jeans. I let my hair loose. I had very dark blonde hair and it reached till my waist.

I am also very short. LITERALLY. I was 4'11 and that is so unfair as both of my parents are really tall.

After I get ready I call my dad to move the suitcases down.

"Hey sweetie, you ready to leave and start a new chapter of your life without your parents?"

"Dad! Come on I'm not a kid anymore, I can take care of myself." It was true. I was going to turn 18 this year.

"Okay okay now let's head down before your mom kicks us out of the house."

"Chloe is coming to say goodbye today" I said becoming sad all of a sudden. Me and Chloe have been best friends since elementary school and she always used to protect me from bullies and pervs and she always had my back no matter what. I will truly miss her.

"I know it's hard to say goodbye to the people who are closest to you. But this is life. Life will throw hurdles at you, so you will have to deal with the changes darling" he said with a sympathetic smile.

"You ready honey?" my mom asked as we headed downstairs. She was really pretty. Her smooth and shiny jet black hair flowed behind her and she wore an one piece which hung to her body gracefully.

"Yes mom" I sniffled. She pouted and gave me a bear hug. "Don't forget about me!" my dad joined making me laugh.

Just then the bell rang and I already knew who it was. Chloe McHart. She barged in and as soon as she saw me she bursted into tears. "I'm gonna miss you so fucking much J" she sobbed.

"I will miss you too chloe. Oh god how will I survive without you there?" I said a little over-dramatically. She grinned at this and said "I know right. I am like your bodyguard. But I don't have to worry about it as you will have PJ to protect you."

I nodded.

A honk was heard and I knew my cab had arrived. As the driver was putting my bags away I glanced back at my house for the very last time. So many memories in this house. I will miss this place. I will miss my family. I will miss Chloe. GOD! Why is saying goodbye so difficult?

"Sweetie call me every single day and don't skip your meals and please sleep on time and take good care of yourself" my mom said with tears in her eyes. "And no boys" my dad said narrowing his eyes at me.

"Come on Mr. Miller she's old enough to deal with boys now" Chloe said while rolling her eyes playfully. My dad sighed. But there was a small smile on his lips.

One last hug with them and I got in the car and my journey started. Who knows what the future will held for me.

Here I come Chicago.
