Jin POV

I woke up feeling a sharp pain in my neck. I groaned as I rolled my head from side to side, willing the pain away. Ugh, this couch was absolutely not meant to be slept on.

All of a sudden I remembered why I was sleeping on the couch and I looked to the right of me. Hyo-Rin was still fast asleep. I let out a sigh of relief. She looked so peaceful.

I stretched my hands high above my head.

Out of nowhere, a loud ringing noise sounded through the living room, scaring the hell out of me. Hyo-Rin jumped up from the couch, scrambling to find her phone.

"Hey Tae." She said as she picked up, she looked up at me and mouthed sorry. Tae, that must be the friend she was talking about.

I didn't want to listen to a private conversation, so I decided to go to the kitchen to make some coffee. I hope she likes coffee.

After a few minutes, she came into the kitchen, looking distraught.

"I have a question, and please you don't have to say yes, don't feel pressured." She said.

I handed her a cup. "Sure, ask away." I gave her a wide smile, wanting her to know that everything would be fine.

"My best friend just called, and his flight has been delayed due to a bad storm, he won't be able to come home today. So, eh, I was wondering if I could stay here for one more night?" She didn't look me in the eye. I guessed she wasn't the type to ask for help and this was a hard thing for her to do.

"No problem. Of course, you can stay another night." I would never have said no. I couldn't accept her sleeping in her car outside while it's freezing and something dangerous could happen.

"It won't be just me though, my son would also stay." She said, still avoiding my gaze.

"That's fine too. I mean, I honestly don't mind."

"What about your roommates?" She asked.

"They are hardly ever here, they have their own little recording studio, sometimes I don't see either of them for days," I explained. Even if Yoongi and Namjoon would have been home they wouldn't mind. I prize me and my friends on our kindness and loyalty. They would never let anyone sleep outside. Especially not a mom and a child.

"Ok, so, I figured we could tell Dae-Jung we're having a sleepover at your place. You are already his hero, he would be thrilled." She said and finally looked at me.

I couldn't help but smile at that, that was the cutest thing ever to hear. I was the little boy's hero? Me? A guy in his mid-twenties working as a cashier in a convenience store? I was hardly hero material.
