Summer Cross Railway Station, 16:34 PM..
"Right then, M'lady. As your official tour guide of Summer Cross. I have made it my duty to show you the best coffee place known to man." Daniel spoke whilst helping me with my belongings, getting off the train.
"Daniel.. As much as I appreciate it." I began. "I don't actually like coffee."
Sure, I had mini coffee dates with Amanda but I'd never actually ordered coffee. I'm more of a hot chocolate kinda girl. The smell of coffee instantly puts me off.
"What are you talking about?" Daniel said with clear disgust. "Everyone likes coffee."
"Not me." I shrugged.
"Nope, I refuse to believe it. Everyone likes coffee, they just have to find the one." And with saying that Daniel took one of my cases and began to walk out of the station.
"Reykjavik, get back here!"
"I can't hear you!"
Oh for gods sake, I guess I'm going to get coffee.
"Wait up then!"
Talia's Treats, 16:43 PM, SC..
Daniel took, or rather dragged, me into a quaint, little side street cafe. It was fairly quiet but then again, I guess most people don't get dragged into a cafe at quarter-to-five by someone they've practically just met.
"So, what do you think?" Daniel asked, looking very pleased with himself.
"We've just gotten through the door." I narrowed my eyes at him, what was he expecting me to say?
Daniel pulled a face at me before rolling his eyes and taking a deep breath.
"I mean, what do you think of the appearance of the cafe? First impressions are everything, you know."I took a look around the cafe and it was the definition of cosy. There were little cushions huddled together by the window ledge with dainty yellow fairy lights hanging above. There were serval sets of tables-for-two on one side of the room and a few booths for more people on the other. The counter was in the middle with a few staff behind it, working merrily along to the quiet radio in the background.
"It's definitely my kind of place." I said, smiling.
"See! I told you, you just have to trust me."
I rolled my eyes playfully at him, "Alright, don't boast your ego anymore."
"Why don't you take a seat and I'll order you the best coffee you've ever had."
"What part of I don't like coffee do you not understand, Daniel?" I was absolutely convinced that boy couldn't change my opinion about coffee.
"Okay, so I'll ask you this. What do you not like about coffee?"
"It leaves a bitter aftertaste in your mouth. Also the smell of it is horrendous."
"Right. Go and take a seat and I swear to you I'll bring the best coffee you've ever had." Daniel said with finality in his voice.
"Fine but I'm telling you right now, you won't change my mind."
"Off you pop, Erin." Daniel nudged me in the direction of the tables.
I stuck my tongue out at him and shuffled towards a seat.Daniel's POV
-"What can I get you today, Danny boy?" Tal looked up at me with a huge smile on her face.
"The usual for me, Tal and your extra special for a friend of mine."
Tal stared at me in disbelief, her jaw dangling wide open.
"What?" I pulled back in disgust. "What have I got on my face?"
"You've made a friend? Daniel Reykjavik has made a friend? By himself?"
Tal smirked at me and I rolled my eyes. "Hah, very funny Talia." I huffed at her.
"Soo, what's she like?" Tal asked as she turned around to begin making our drinks.
"She's great, a complete music geek like me." I began.
"Did you meet her whilst visiting your parents?"
"Nope, on the train back here."
"Is she a potential lover, Daniel?"
"I know that voice, Talia. No, she isn't. She's just a friend. Besides, I've already met someone."
"What!" Tal whipped herself around, almost knocking off the steaming coffee. "Why am I just hearing about this now?"
"I just assumed Ollie or Dex would of told you.." I shrugged at her.
"Well, you assumed wrong!" Tal huffed. "I want to know about this mystery person, tonight!"
"Convince me." I smirked.
"Pizzas on me."
"Sold." I grinned and grabbed the coffee off the counter.
"Bring your new friend too! It'll be nice to have another girl in the group."
"Don't scare her away."
"I would never!"And for once in her life, she was right.
