I woke up and at first didn't know where I was. I looked around to see that I was in my room. I could tell by the soft silky blanket and sheets, the photo collage on my wall, and all the yellow decorations everywhere. How did I get here? I asked my self. I looked at my phone to see the time. "7:50!! Crap, crap, crapp!! I'm gonna be late!!" I pretty much yelled in a rush while pulling some pants and a random shirt on. I slipped some flip flops on and slung my backpack on my shoulder. I ran down the stairs, grabbed a banana on my way out, and got into my car. I fingerbrushed my newly cut short hair real quick and started my drive to school.

I parked in the first parking spot I saw and then practically ran to class. I checked my phone while I was half speed-walking and half running to see that it was 7:59. I had one minute. Come on Selene. Hurry upp!! I ran in the door just as Mrs.Blake was about to shut it because it was 8:00. I slid into my seat and grabbed out my text books letting out a big sigh.

I didn't even remember that Laura and I had first period together until I saw her staring at me. I didn't really know what to do or say. The events from yesterday, our fight and breakup, could not stop replaying in my mind. I finally looked away and started to doodle on my paper embarassed. All I could hear throughout that class was the click of the clock as every second and minute passed by while trying my best to keep my full attention at the board and not at Laura. Click, click, click.

"Ringg!" The second the bell rang I got up so fast and practically ran out the door to avoid talking to Laura. I was not about to deal with her right now. I didn't even remember half of yesterday so that's what I have to figure out first. I guess I always procrastine. When lunch rolled around I didn't feel like sitting with Laura and if I sat with Thomas then Laura would get even more mad at me so I decided to find an empty classroom and eat there instead. I wandered the halls looking for an empty classroom that would suit my needs. I finally walked past the old English classroom before it was moved to the west wing. It's was weird that no one ever used it after that. "Welp I guess this is it." I said shrugging my shoulders and opened the door.

The definition of loneliness is sadness because one has no friends or company. Was I becoming the defenition of loneliness? Laura was really the only friend I had. Making friends has always been hard for me. I just don't really know how to talk to people. I sat and ate my lunch alone just as I guess that I intended considering I was in a room where no one ever went. Once u was done I threw my trash away in the only trashcan in the room and was packing up my stuff. I looked at my phone and relied I only had 5 minutes to get to class and my class was all the way across campus. I hurriedly stuffed my stuff in my bag and ran out the door. Just like what happened on the first day of school happened again right now. Thomas bumped into me. Or rather I say I bumped into Thomas. Of course fate punches me in the gut yet again. Especially when I was late.

"Uhh, Thomas what are you doing over here? Our class is all the way across capmus." "Well, what do you think I'm doing? Looking for you. I was worried about you when I didn't see you at lunch." "Well. Well. I.. I didn't feel up it because umm..." I stuttered. "Because you and Laura aren't friends anymore." He finished my sentence for me. "I know," he said and it's okay." "Wh-wha-what? How did you find out about that?" I said curiously. "Well you told me dummy." He said in a joking 'duh' tone. "I-I-I did?" I said confused l. I didn't remember seeing Thomas after he left to go try out for a club. "Ya. You did. I was going home after I got onto the CHESS team and had our first practice when I saw you sitting on the bench while walking to my car. Then I brought you home after." He said explaining some of the gaps in my memory. "Oh." I said astonished. "Crapp!! We gotta get to class!" I said in a hurried tone. We both just started running. "Goodnight Selene, sleep well." was all that kept replaying in my head while rushing to class. Thoma saying, "Goodnight Selene, sleep well."

5th hour practically felt like a few minutes compared to first hour which felt like 50 years passing by as slow as they could. When school got out me and Thomas spotted each other from across the hallway and met up at his locker. "Hey again." he said. "At least this time one of us didn't actually run into the other." he said with a little giggle. "Ya true, there's always another time for that." I said jokingly.
"So what exactly happened last night?" I asked Thomas curiously. He then explained what had happened. "Oh." I said shocked. "Ya, but it's alright. I'm always here if you need me." He said dependable. "Thanks. Same for you." I said with a smile.
