Chapter 6 ∞ Breakdown

<~Lucille's POV~>

I woke up at about 4 am after I heard Viviana crying, though as I was getting up, I didn't hear her on the baby monitor anymore. That made me worry. I ran out of the bedroom, down the hall, around the TV, ignoring who was ever on the couch, then through the twins open door, turning the light switch on immediately.

I put my hand on my heart and tilted my head down at the sight of Ashton holding Vivi. "Ms. Atkinson, are you okay?" I heard him as he ran over and put his hand on my back, "Yes, I believe so.". "Mom are you okay?!" I recalled to be Becca's voice behind me, I nodded.

"I'm fine, really, I just came to check on Vivi, I heard her crying" I spoke, "Just go back to bed" Ashton said a bit to loudly. I smiled at him and nodded in agreement and walked back to bed, waving goodnight to Ashton and Becca.

<~Michael's POV~>

I woke up to the sound of Ashton's voice, he's always so damn loud. I sat up on the couch and went to put my hand back on the pillow to help myself up. I got up and walked out the bedroom door rubbing the back of my head, forgetting about Kenzie. What can I say, I wanted food.

I walked out of the room, passing the living room where Ashton was laying his head in Becca's lap. Not giving a shit, I walked in the kitchen going through the fridge, until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped and flew backwards until I hit counter. I grabbed my hair and looked over to see what the fuck just happened, "Kenzie you fucking asshole!" she just sat there giggling at me wearing a light blue shirt and black shorts with her hair pulled over her shoulders in pig tails.

When I hit the counter I knocked over a metal bowl and it hit the floor, "What the fuck was that?" I heard Becca say, then I heard footsteps coming towards us, "What the hell is going on here?!" Ashton came in nearly screaming, then another voice chimmed in, "You all need to quiet down, you know the babies are sleeping, like literally right next to us, like what the fuck.." afterwards Becca came up behind him "Sorry Brad.." "You know, I'm getting fed up with all this, first off, Becca and Kenzie go the hell to bed, second Michael I think you should be heading home, and third, Ashton you've been here for like three days! Go home!"

I covered my mouth when he told him to go home, Ashton started walking away, "Ashton stop!" I screamed not caring "We both know where you're going, and I'm not letting it happen, sit down right now! before I purposely wake up the twins and their mom!" I looked back at Becca and Kenzie who were awestruck, and Brad looked, really, really pissed. Ashton stopped in his tracks and didn't turn around, all of a sudden he fell to his knees. I heard Becca gasp at the sight, she tried to run at him, but I grabbed her arm before she could get to him, "Listen to your brother, both of you" I said looking back at Kenzie as well "..Go to bed". They both looked at me, with a little bit of fear in their eyes, Kenzie nodded and dragged Becca with her to their room.

"Brad.. don't let him go anywhere.. I'll be right back.." I commanded him, "What the fuck?! You're scaring me.. What's going to happen if he does move?" I ignored him and continued walking out of the house onto the front porch pulling out my phone. I dialed his number and waited. After about 5 or 6 rings he finally answered, "For fucks sake Mike, it's almost 5 in morning" he shouted "I know! I'm sorry Cal! But it's happening again.." I explained "Wait.. What!? How?! Where are you?!?! I'll bring the pills, just give me the address!" he screamed "Uhhh.. It's ummm.. Oh! It's 1994 east 77th street!" he immediantley hung up, I paced back and forth for a minute or two then ran back inside.

Ashton wasn't there "Michael.. over here" I heard Brad say to my left, then I seen Ashton, he was sitting in the corner with his knees close to his chest, gripping at his curls. "Ashton, please calm down!" I screamed. I sat by Ashton for the next 20 minutes till Calum finally showed up. "What the fuck man! Why did it take you so lo- you went to get Luke.. really?" I spat, "Hey now, don't blame me, he was already at my house we were both asleep, but he wouldn't let me leave without him and it takes him forever to quiff his damn hair!" He emphasized on 'let' "oops.." Luke mumbled smirking, "Can you just hurry up and give him the pills?!" I yelled. "I'm not taking those" Ashton snarled "and you're insane if you think I will, you know what they do..."

"Exactly, I know what they do, that's just a side effect, Ash, you have to trust me." He shook his head then Calum nodded at me, Luke, Calum, and I ran over to Ashton and literally dragged him into the grass. Luke held down his legs whole I held his arms with my knees touching his head, Calum sat on his stomach to make sure he didn't get away and put two of the pills in his mouth and dumped some water in too. Ashton shut his mouth like he was getting ready to spit it all at Cal's face. All of a sudden Becca showed up right next to us with tear stained cheeks, she studied what was happening then leaned down putting a hand over his mouth.

Ashton just stared at her, he calmed down and swallowed the pills. Ash's eyes started forming tears. Becca had pushed Luke and I over away from him and dragged Calum off. When I got back up I seen her holding Ashton's head up, his eyes were closed. fuck. "Becca, come inside with me so you can get Kenzie and write a note for your mum and brother." I explained, "A note for what?" She said while wiping her eyes, "Me, you, Ashton, Calum, Kenzie, and Luke are going to go somewhere." I told her "now march, I'll be in there in a second-" she ran into the house.

"You two, Luke and Calum.. Get him in the car and get ready to speed to the hospital, the pills are kicking in again-" then Luke interrupted "I forget, what do these pills do again?" But Calum snacked him in the back of the head "They stop his heart dipshit, now help me load him in my car!".

Calum always has the pills because that's the only house Ashton dare enters. Cal's sister, Mali, hates Ashton for trying to kill himself after being told to go home, what she didn't know at the time was Ashton had no home, he never went back after his dad cheated on his mum. She went crazy and had stabbed his little sister, Lauren, at least 10 times, I forget the exact number. Ashton had took his brother, Harry, and drove him off to his dad's sister, which his mum hated her. Being the psychopath she is, she had him have surgery at a young age to get a chip to track him embedded into his neck. It wasn't long, but it was still a surgery. So because of the chip, he didn't want to visit Harry just in case she followed him. His mum is now locked away in an insane asylum. Ash wants to get the chip removed, but his doesn't have the money, and he refuses to let Calum, Luke, or I to help pay. All this happened sometime after New Year's, causing him to be kind of depressed around now, and everytime someone tells him to go or he should go home, or anything about his family, he has mental breakdowns, and sometimes hurts people. Mali-koa felt horrible about being the first one to put him into one of his breakdowns, so she denies all interaction with him to avoid the awkwardness.
