"You're nothing," the boy taunted dribbling the ball between his legs. " You're nothing. You're nothing. You're nothing!"
He repeated the words as he tried feints and fakes, but they didn't seem to work.
"You're right," I admitted under my breath. I reached out for the ball as he went for a three pointer. The ball went to my grasp. The boy gasped and went for a block. I ducked and took a step back to do a fadeaway. "I'm nothing yet I'm something."
The jingling of the metal chain rubbing against each other as the ball fell through. I looked at the clock to see it hit zero second. Beeeeppp!!!
The buzz of an alarm clock pierced my past memory that started to fade away creeping back into the depths of my brain. I pulled the headphones off my neck and tapped the dismiss button on my phone. I looked out the window of the bus.
"Totou high, hmmm?" I said in thought. An arm slung around my shoulder and pulled me up.
"Why such the long face, Kylee-kun?" Teppei asked/shouted into my ear.
"I just woke up from a nightmare. Leave me along." I pushed his arm of my shoulder in disgust. "You're too strong and gave me a harsh bruise."
"Oh, Gomen!" We started walking off the bus. It's only been a week, I still can't play yet and my body is getting sore or bruised more easily with each day but it's getting stronger and faster.

Tap, Tap, Tap. The ping-pong ball tapped the wall and bounced back to repeat the progress.
"What are you doing?" Coach Aida asked sweatdropping.
"I'm playing ping pong," I answered swinging the paddle to hit the ball again. A shadow hovered over me blocking the light. I blink, a mysterious hand had pulled the paddle out of my hand as I went for a swing. The ball ended up hitting my lower thigh. I looked up to see Hyuga with irk marks all over his face.
"The team is extremely under pressure. Please stop taking this so lightly." He said between gritted teeth.
"I noticed, but my cheering will only annoy them more. They DID throw like twenty basketballs at me when I tried to cheer them at the last practice we held. I got bruises all over my body. And I'm sore from Aida making me run all day," I reminded him.
"Oh yeah, didn't I throw five of them?" Hyuga thought out loud scratching the top of his head.
"Oi!(Hey!)" I shouted proud that I learned what it meant. Everyone on the team laughed lightly at me getting annoyed. "Why am I the laughing stock?"
"Who are you?" A teenage boy with black hair, glasses, and eyes that freaked me out asked. He was on the other team. His jersey read number four.
"I'm captain of the cheering squad of the Serin high school team. What 'bout you?" I asked.
"Cheering squad?! Phhff." A blonde hair boy snickered while walking by.
"I'm entertaining the enemies too. Wow, I'm not even meaning to." I said looking down. "I'm the new teammate on the team. Came from America."
"We're the regular of Touou academy." The blonde boy said while walking off with the rest of his group in one of those cool moments.
"Aomine-kun.." Kuroko greeted the blue hair tall boy. He didn't reply but moved on.
