Chapter 2

Tris pov

It's been two weeks since Tobias took my virginity. I didn't get to see him much in these two weeks because we've been away for spring break.

Today school finally starts back up again so we'll be seeing each other more.

I throw on a hoodie on and a pair of sweatpants. I think my period is coming because I feel so bloated. I'm kinda of nauseous and crazy tired but I'm not thinking much of it. It's probably just being back at school.

I get to school and stand by my locker to get books for the day.

I feel arms wrapped around me from behind which scare me at first but I know exactly who they are.

I lay my head back on his chest and he holds me close.

"I missed you" I whisper to him

"I missed you too" he says back and we stay like that for a little.

"How was your spring break? How was vacation with your family" I say pulling away from him and leaning against my locker now.

"It was good. My parents were annoying sometimes but it was fun. What about you? How was going to the mountains for spring break" he asks me and I sigh

"It was nice. Spent a lot of time relaxing" I say closing my locker and walking with him through the hall.

"I have been feeling really sick lately so I think I might have gotten sick while I was up there" I tell him and he looks over at me.

"Or you're pregnant" he says with a small chuckle and I turn to him with wide eyes.

"Relax we used a condom. I was just kidding" he says and I shrug it off and continue to walk, but that thought will be at the back of my head for the rest of the day.

"Hi Nurse Shelly, could I talk to you for a second" I ask our school nurse.

"Of course tris. What's the matter" she says allowing me to sit and gets up to close the door.

"I had sex for the first time two weeks ago and I haven't been feeling very good" I tell her and she nods

"Did you use a condom? Are you on birth control" she asks me and I nod

"Condom yes. Birth control no" I say and she nods

She gets up from her seat again and reaches for something in her cabinet.

"How about we take one of these" she says handing me a pregnancy test

"I'm not pregnant. We used a condom" I say nervously and she gives me a sad look

"Let's take the test and see what is says. You can use the bathroom in my office" she says, so I stand and head to the bathroom.

I follow all the instructions and walk out with the stick and hand it to Nurse Shelly.

"I don't think I can see the results. I'm starting to freak out" I say pacing back and forth

"How about we take a seat now" she says sitting me in a seat and I hear the test beep, meaning it's done.

I stand to my feet and cover my hands over my face.

"Just tell me" I say sadly

"Tris, you're pregnant" she says gently and I feel myself hit the floor.

I passed out.

I wake up in a hospital bed with a heart machine beeping.

I sit up and someone comes into view. Tobias.

"Hey Trissy" he says gently, sitting with me on the bed.

"How are you feeling" he adds

"Not so good" I say running my fingers in my hair.

"So you fainted" he says

"How did you know" I ask him

"The same time you were there. I was also going there to talk to Nurse Shelly to see the possibility a girl could be pregnant even if i used a condom. I wanted to talk to her but looks like we were thinking the same thing. I walked in on you passed out on the floor with a pregnancy test in Nurse Shelly's hands" he says

"I'm so sorry Tobias" I say wiping my tears away

"Hey it's okay. This is not your fault" he says

"Yes it is" I say placing my hands in my face

He moves me onto his lap and hugs me tight.

"Whatever you decide to do with this baby. I will be here for you" he says

"I don't know what to do" I say and he holds a hand to my face.

"Well do you want to have a baby" he asks me

"Not right now but I think I'm kind of stuck with it" I say

"You're not stuck with anything. We have options. I will help you if you decide to keep it" he says

"I don't know what to do" I say

"Should I get an abortion" I ask him and he holds my hands

"I'm going to be here for whatever you decide and I'll help you with anything you need but if I'm being honest with you. I'm not ready for a baby" he says and I nod.

"I feel the same way" I whisper

"Do you want to think about it" he asks

"I'll give it some thought but I think that's what I want to do" I tell him and he kisses my head.

"We'll figure this out" he says and I nod.
