what the characters powers are in the book
Morgan Rodgers- shifting ability (think of the blue lady with red hair in x-men), can half shift in human form and change into people but cannot use their gifts. Her gift is very rare because she can do all of this and a lot of other shapeshifters cannot do this with this gift.
Bella Delacruz- Arcane magic (Arcane magic is often a field of intense study and practice. Arcane magic is one of three types, or traditions, of magic, along with divine and psychic magic, that manifests in the form of spells and spell-like effects. Arcane spells are known to create more dramatic and destructive effects than divine spells: author note). The downside is that she can only use darkness and light magic.
Troy Briggs- has super strength (think of the Kratos or Hulk: Author note). The downside is that it's always on so he will have to learn to control it so he doesn't destroy or kill anyone by accident
Caleb Frost- gun summon, can summon any type of gun. The downside is that he can't summon any type of explosive gun.
Chandler Graham- can summon anything that he imagines but it can't be anything living, food, or drink. But he has to understand the item to be able to summon it
Jacob Sanders- has telepathy has both sides of this (mind-reading and speaking in other people's minds: author note) and telekinesis. He can't turn off mind reading side. Would have to learn to block off people's minds or would have to teach friends to build a wall to not be able to read their minds.
Octavian Higgins- elemental wizard basically he has magic like Bella just not arcane magic. He has to learn to control it, if he becomes angry or annoyed it explodes out of him causing accidental magic (like harry potter: author note).
