Diane was on her way home from school. She was on her own after parting ways with the two new 'friends' she met a while ago. She dropped by at the convenience store the two showed me during lunch. Diane grabbed a few bento sets and two one-liter bottled drinks. I brought the basket to the cashier. The cashier recognized her, giving Diane a small smile. Diane who is known as not showing emotions doesn't know how to smile. So, she nodded as a gesture of thanks.

She left the shop with the food she got. She crossed multiple alleyways making it to a crowded mall. She found herself in another alleyway. She stood at the entrance of the alleyway. Her senses sharpened. The alleyway was filled with gangs, murderers and even the most wanted criminal was around. Without hesitation, she walked.

She made it to the other end of the alleyway. Clean. She made her way to her apartment. She dropped all of her things on the kitchen table before heading to her room. She prepared the bathtub with hot water while adding a few pumps of soap. She stood there watching the water level rise and bubbles started forming. Diane turned the faucet off before making her way to the kitchen. She grabbed a wine glass, stared at it. She shrugged, she unlocked a wine cupboard, pulling out a bottle of wine for herself.

She made her way back to the bathroom, placed the wine glass and the bottle of glass on the side table beside the bathtub. She then grabbed her phone and got undressed as she poured herself a glass of wine. She slipped her leg in and fully submerged her whole body in. She sipped the wine she poured out for herself. She opened her phone realizing Adrian and Mari has been messaging her. She scrolled through her notifications.

She ignored the messages, played music and relaxed. She gulped down another two glasses of wine. She then decided to reply to Adrian and Mari's messages. Mari made a group chat between the three of them only. She then read Aunt Illumi's messages.

I left the car down for you. The car keys are on your dresser.

She rinsed off, got changed, poured herself another glass before packing the things she had. She heated up a bento box, bringing it to her room. She pulled out her laptop and the few homework that was due the next day. She managed to complete them within ten minutes in which her other classmates would take for a question.

She plugged in her laptop to her PC and thought on a game to play. She opened her phone to more messages from the two. She opened it and started reading.

Diane switches off her phone and loaded the game Adrian recommended. She just played continuously. Until she was in a certain lobby. She pulled out her headset and her controller. She took a glance at the clock, and she looked back at the lobby she was in. She read the gamer tags and their medals. She smirked as she pressed start. She got used to the game, having an easier time to play.

The first five rounds were an easy game for her. Her teammates were stunned. She basically stole everyone's kills and no one knows who she is.

"Dude, this person- THIS PERSON- Is stealing all of our kills. HOW!?" A guy raged through the microphone.

"Gamer tag?" Another voice asked.

"Die-an-dead." The first person tried reading. "AND HIS RANKING IS NOT EVEN THAT HIGH HOW IS HE SO GOOD?! HES A HACKER. DEFINITELY"

"Talk on the microphone Dieandead. NOW." The second person demanded.

Diane gave an airy giggle. She took a deep breath "Dieandead here"

The chat became quiet.

"GAMER TAG DIEANDEAD IS A GIRL. I REPEAT GAMER TAG DIEANDEAD IS A GIRL."

"Hurry ready up." Diane clicked her tongue.

She played on for another five games.

"Alright boys, imma head out," Diane announced as she looked at the wall clock.

"Nooo! Don't go!" one of them, named, Marcel pleaded.

"I've got school in four hours' time," she sighed.

"Let's exchange discord. If ya want ya'kno if ya want and if ya have discord ya'kno." Marcel suggested.

"Go ahead. It's the same as my gamer tag. Goodnight." She said and left the game.

She switched off her computer and dragged herself to bed. She dozed off. She groggily woke up four hours later, dragging herself up. She squinted her eyes as she opened her phone to a wave of notifications. She sighed, laying back down.

"April 15," she mumbled. "I need to sort myself together."

She sat up from her bed and looked around. She opened her discord app on her phone.

She added the two back before heading to the bathroom and get changed. She packed her bag and made her way to the kitchen. Opening her fridge, she pulled out a bento box then proceeding to microwave it. She pulled out a chair and sat on it. Staring ahead of her was a full shelf of wine.

"Seems like growing up in that family made me like this huh," she mumbled as she poured herself a glass of wine.

She took out her food from the microwave drank three glasses of wine, made her way out of the house. She decided to walk to school, taking the shorter route. She was about to reach the school as she heard a familiar voice calling her.

"Diane!" Mari waved from afar. Beside Mari was Adrian who waved towards her too.

She stopped on her tracks, still not knowing how to smile, she waved at the two. The trio made their way into the school. As usual, morning classes went by pretty fast. It was lunch period. The trio as usual made their way to their hangout spot. This time Diane paying for their food.

"Guys, the most wanted criminals are found dead at an alleyway," Mari said as she shoved karaage in her mouth. "I wonder who did it."

Diane and Adrian shrugged. They all ate, hung out, talked, studied and whatever students do in school. Whatever lies ahead, Diane knew she had an important job to do.
