Well, this wasn't the super long, hard hitting novel that I was going for, but I really fell like I shared my story to all of you strangers out there. My life is a roller coaster, and diabetes is just one of the drops you have to face. But the only difference is, you can't just get off at the end of it. Diabetes is a daily battle, but it isn't impossible. You just have to stick with it, day by day, and never forget to take your insulin.
Sorry I haven't posted in a long, long, long time, but hey, what can you do about it? (Heehee, see what I did there? I'm so cheesy!) I've had to deal with band, school, band, homework, band, diabetes, band, and band. But as of last night, the Pride of Cove marching season has come to an end yet again. We still have football games, but no big competitions left. And lets face it, comps are all of the fun. Especially since the weather has dropped to freezing, fun has waved us goodbye and is waiting for us next July.
Speaking of band, I actually have a diabetic story to tie into it! So, there's this guy (It seems like a lot of my stories start like this, seeing how boy crazy I am) that's in my section (Which is the Flutes) and I've had a secret crush on him since the 7th grade. But this guy is a huge jerk, so I'd never actually date him. But anyways, I have to sit out of practice sometimes because my blood sugar drops to low. And whenever I come back in, the guy gives me a look and calls me lazy! No matter what I try to explain to him, he does it every time! it bugs me, and I try my best to march after that saying to myself over and over, "Don't let him get to you. Don't let him get to you." I just want to kick his butt!
Anyways, I hope you've enjoyed my story, and I hope I've inspired you to write yours! Though my story isn't over, and life continues everyday with different struggles. But hey, that's what it's like with diabetes.
