(nick POV)
The rest of the week seemed to all melt together until it was time for the party. WE decided to host it in a huge ballroom somewhere near the school.I was chatting with some friends when briana came to my side. "hey babe" she said then pecked me on my lips.
She wore a pink dress with her hair down and curled she looked very pretty but still I didn't feel attracted to her but i summoned up a fake smile and countinued to laugh and talk to friends. A slow song came on and she dragged me onto the dance floor I took her hand and started to move to the music.
I looked around the room and saw joe and chelsea dancing and Kevin was chatting up this girl but i didn't see Evan and my mood almost immediately took a turn for the worst. But the DJ changed the song To "Look After You" by the fray.
Soon the whole room looked towards the door as Evan and his friend came through the doors arms intertwined and in that moment my heart speed up and i looked at him as if he were a precious painting or delicate flower.
But that image was ruined when i was brought back to reality by breana saying "well don't they make a cute couple".I could tell she was being sarcasatic but I brushed it off becasue ever since we have been together she has never liked Evan.
Then i noticed the necklace around him its was a dumset and i felt a genuine smile come to my face.'maybe he thinks about me the way i do' I thought and i felt our eyes connecting and as he gave a small smile and wave felt breana smash her lips against mine.
I lokked down at her and disconnected our lips but when i looked back up he was gone and suddenly I felt horrible again so i left breana making up some story about being hungry and went off to find him.
