What Just Happened?

(Nick POV)

I know he kissed me and I know I kissed him back, I know it was better than it ever felt with Bree and I know it left me speechless and frozen. I wanted to run after him because who knew what he must have been saying or thinking about himself and I just wanted to push those fears out of his head and protect him from them.

But I was still stunned in that spot where a miracle happened but after what felt like hours I regained my senses and ran after him.

"Evan stop running from me" I screamed "No thanks I'm good but I kinda wishing I could slap whatever part of me thought that this was a good idea" he said. "Really cause I think I want to thank that part of you and ask it to takeover more often" I said.

"What are you talking about" he asked " I don't regret what just happened up there I'm just sorry I didn't do it sooner" I said. Then it was his turn to freeze and he turned around to look at me with his little puppy eyes.

"I am sorry it took so long to see it Evan but I like you more than just my best friend since we were kids and I really want to see where this thing could go don't you"?

"I would love nothing more" he said in a relieved voice and I went over to him and grabbed his hand in mine. " Let's get back to the hotel you guys have your flight in the morning and when I get a break in a couple of weeks I am flying you out and we will go on our first official date".

He nodded in agreement and we got back on the boat in the car and left for the hotel.

We finally got back to the hotel and I walked him to his room then I guess I would go back to my room.

But I wonder would I really want to leave him after I just got him and I wouldn't see him again for a couple of months.

"Hey Nick I really don't want to be clingy or anything but would you mind sleeping here tonight" he said and I smiled because he always seemed to read my mind.

"I would love to" and he opened his door and we walked inside.
