Chapter 3: Denial

Webby was busy stuffing things into her closet, in the attic, under her bed, just wherever there was enough space to stuff things. A knock on the doorframe excused her from her thoughts. Beakley walked in with arms full of candy, chips, crackers, peanut butter, and even more assorted sugary and savory food. "Now, don't eat all of this in one go or you might end up staying up all night, and then you'll end up disrupting your sleep pattern for the rest of the week, leaving you no energy to-"

"See my parents, I know."

Beakley smiled warmly at her granddaughter. "Your parents are very excited to see you again, you know. They seem to have quite an interest for your friends as well, seeing as they invited them all, specifically the boys, which brings me to the topic-"

Webby groaned. Ever since she turned 13, 2 years after the triplets entered her life, her grandmother had made sure to keep an eye on the boys, or any boys for that matter, and reported it all to Webby's parents. Webby found it annoying, but she knew that they meant well. Originally Webby's morher had proposed a rule which kept Webby from dating until she was nearly 30! But Webby had managed to convince her to allow her to date at 18. Usually Webby would be least bothered by the concept of dating, but seeing that it was something that teenagers like her did, she figured that she may as well try it while she had the time. But for her grandma to think that she would want to date one of the nephews was outrageous, they were her best friends, especially Dewey. Besides,  wouldn't it be awkward for the other 2 brothers to live in the same house as a couple? Just watching Louie and Lena was gross, but still cute nevertheless. Honestly,  what would ever give her that idea? Webby herself couldn't really see herself dating any of the 3...

...but she wouldn't mind dating one in particular.....

On the other hand though, Beakley's hand, there was a completely different story to tell. Everyday was another day that Webby came closer to turning 18, and this filled her with dread. She knew that once Webby turned 18, she was bound to date one of the triplets, after all, they were the only boys that she knew. But out of the 3, she was only concerned about one: Dewey. From the second they laid eyes on each other, they became the best of friends, a perfect match, partners in crime, nearly inseparable. Just thinking of how much their bond and relationship might have grown in the last 5 years made her slightly dizzy. They did everything together, in fact, they were so close that most people just assumed that they share one collective brain cell. It wasn't that Dewey was a bad kid, Beakley knew that he would never dare do anything to hurt Webby, he would do anything and everything in his power to protect her, he would even die for her...

'Die for her'

Dewey could often be reckless, never thinking twice about his actions, it was a dangerous game he played-

"Granny?". Beakley snapped back into reality.

"Huh?" She hadn't realised that she had become so lost in her thoughts that she had completely forgotten about Webby and forgotten what she was about to say.

"You were just about to speak to me on the topic of the triplets?"

"Oh. Right.". Beakley cleared her throat "Yes, are you sure you would like to sleep in your room, they are much older now. Perhaps you could make this a girls night, and the boys could have a slumber party of their own."

Webby groaned, she had seen this coming "Graaaaaaanny! Yes I'm sure. They're going to be sleeping in their own, individual sleeping bags, on the floor, just like everyone else. Heck, even I'm using a sleeping bag to be fair! You have nothing to worry about, and you can tell mom that too. Besides, a slumber party is only fun with all of your friends.". Webby frowned and folded her arms.

"Verry well, dear. Have fun then!" Beakley dusted herself off and walked out the room, but even she couldn't deny what she saw, what was between them, and most importantly, the way she looked into his eyes.....

And yet, she denied it.

[A/N]: No author's note today! Actually, wait. Nerp, there is one now. This is really the first, and the last time that that's ever going to happen, because I usually have some thing or the other to say. Also, I'm not writing this in the middle of the night, so I feel so much better and less guilty. And I was blessed when I met someone in my school who actually likes the same things I do! (Miraculous, Hatsune Miku, Phineas and Ferb, all those animate my life YouTube channels, such as Jaiden Animations, TheOdd1sout just to name a few, and who knows what else! Maybe even Ducktales! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! I'm a Chipmunk.) And that is really rare for me, so ya. Also I've been thinking that from now on, I'll post chapters in a routine, maybe every Friday? We'll see. Anyways, I don't want this thing to stretch on forever (like they usually do. I hope you don't find that annoying, because, like I said, I usually have a lot to say. If you do, then deal with it. You don't have to if you don't want to though, most people just skip the author's note anyways, not me though.).
So ya. Love you! (My dog loves you too). See ya next week, Adios!
💛

Also, today, the day that I'm posting this chapter, is my dog's 1st birthday! So ya, just wanted to say that.
