Kayla's POV
I ran out of the room and in to a narrow hallway, dead end. I cried, tears poured for I don't know how long.
"Kayla?" I looked up to see Elisa. Her eyes softened. "Have you ever cried before? Can you do that? Do they remove your tear ducts? Oh wait, dumb question, you can obviously cry! Haha!"
I chuckled and told her, "All good questions come to those who wait, right?"
Elisa pursed her lips, "Oh, Hahaha! Sarcasm killed the cat!"
"Actually curiosity killed the cat." I replied
She glared at me and stuck her tongue out. I laughed, I could already tell we would be friends.
"On a serious note, Kayla. We need a plan to take down Rally Warriors. We need to make them pay."
"With pleasure! Only after death shall I find it sufficient."
She looked at me funny,"Oddly poetic for a death threat."
"Um-, Hi." I turned around to see who Elisa was talking to. A girl who was a girl about 19, with brown/red hair.
"Hello Kayla, do you remember me?"
I turned to come face-to-face with one of my oldest comrades.
"Commander 236. But how?" I asked.
"No time to explain but we need the people to trust you, maybe send you out on a few dangerous missions, save a few people. Rally needs to go down! Will you do it, please? We need you!"
"Fine! I'll do it! But tell me when I have a mission. And assign me to something else too. So it's not like I'm waiting for that job." I replied. These people will never trust me!!
"No. You will just be a fighter, whether you like it or not. Be patient they'll trust you one day." She stared at me as if to challenge me.
"This is so stupid! They'll never trust me! I might as well just leave. This plan will never work!" I threw my hands up in frustration.
She watched me in understanding. "Don't forget why your here. Do your duty to Rally and New America."
"I want to kill them, they deserve to rot in hell! It's their fault! He's dead because of them! The other side of the fence sucks! I'll kill them all!!!" I screamed. I hate Rally! They killed my brother!
"Don't worry, we just need a good plan then we'll rid New America of these nuisance." Elisa added.
"Good. See you soon, Kayla."
"You too Commander."
"It's not Commander, it's America... My real birth name. As a reminder of the America that once was and that soon will be."America smiled. I like that name.
"America, I like it. See you soon." I smiled. She was definitely a leader. Just by the way she carried herself. She must be a good leader. Elisa definitely looked up to her and I Will too!
