The Gang

Prologue

Nick was around the age of twelve when the fall out started, he was at school with his friends when the bomb dropped, when all of the windows broke and rubble few, people got scared, and when people get scared they get frantic. People ran for cars or anything that would get them away from the explosion. Nick ran to find his friends, first he found West helping one of the older teachers out, and then found Lyla helping the toddlers find their family's. After they had gotten together, and ran to an exit. When they got outside, they could barely breathe. Smoke covered everything, they could barely hear cars honking. Nick led them to an ally way, where their bikes were waiting. "Get on! Quickly!" Said Nick in a raspy voice, he'd clear in voice, in a clearer voice, he'd say, "Hurry! We don't have much time." They'd jump onto their bikes and biked through the ally. As they peddled out, all they saw was fire and smoke, "Who would do this?" Asked Lyla. "I don't know, but we better get to the mountains!" Said West. They all peddled across the road and down the street for a few minutes untill they reach the base of the mountain. "Come on! There is a bike trail over there!" Said Nike as he pointed to a small, uneven trail on the side of the mountain. As the reached the top, Lyla looked out and gasped, "Why? Why would someone kill all of these innocent people?" All you could see was fire, fire and smoke. Nike said, "We need to get out of the city, come on hands in." As he put his hand in the middle of them, everyone put their hand in and shouted, "Gang!" For that was their groups name. And as they watch their burning city, Nick thought to him self, "I will protect them with my life." As he and his friends were forced to turn their backs on the only home they have ever known.
