All I got was a laugh in reply. Then he said,
"I'm Luke. Hi Izy."
"Uh...... I...... uh..... hi Luke. You.... you work at Pizza Hutt, right?"
"Yeah."
"K. So do I. I....... um...... I'm the 'delivery girl's for Pizza Hutt." I said, putting quotes with my fingers around the words 'delivery girl'.
"K." he said laughing. "Um.... do.... um...... do you wanna hang out with me today? And tommorrow? And everyday after that during P.E. and stuff! Besides..... my girlfriend doesn't have P.E. right now. She has it first period. So, I always get bored and lonely in here, anyways. Ppppppplllllllleeeeeeeeaaaaasssssseeeeeee?"
"Um..... let me think about it. Sure!" I said, and his face lit up with relief...... and....... excitement?
"YAY! Thank you thank you thank you!" he said 'thank you' as if it was one word. And he said it all in one breath.
"Um..... your welcome."
"So...... are we mates? If not, can we be?"
"Uh...... sure."
"YAY! Thank you thank you thank you!" he said in one breath again like it was one big word.
"Um.... your welcome. Wow. I officially have two and a half mates at this school. Not bad for my first day."
"Two and a half? Who's the half?" he asked curiously.
"Michael."
"Oh. Don't be mates with him. Trust me. I used to be his best mate. Then he was being a real pain in the ass. And now, we are no longer mates." he said.
