A/N: Hey everyone! So this book was originally going to be a Moonbyul x Reader book, but I'm not gonna lie, I hated the few chapters that were there. I wanted a book revolving around video games but with the way I had it would have been too much for me to organize and work through, so I'm going to try to keep this to only a few main characters depending on how I feel. Anyway, I'd like to know what you all think of the first chapter! (This is influenced by the King's Avatar on Netflix/anime websites. It's a great show I really recommend it!)

Y/n's POV

Wake up, play games, eat/drink occasionally, sleep, repeat.

That is all I do ever since I graduated. Not to say that I'm complaining though. I am playing the greatest game Korea has ever produced: Tides of War.

Ever since this game came out 4 years ago Korea has been all over this game. Hell, it's literally become a household name at this point.

It's has become so popular that they even recently opened up US, EU, and AUS servers, along with the beginning of World Championships for Esports for this game.

Now I know what you're thinking, how does Esports work on an mmo like Tides of War. Well, that's simple. It's PvP. Two teams of five go up against each other in one team elimination round, one king of the hill round, then topping it off in 1v1 elimination. (I'll explain more on that when it actually comes up in this story.)

Now that is my dream right there.

But it probably won't happen. I'm good at PvP but not the best. In my opinion anyway.

"Shit it's almost opening time for the cafe. I guess I should go help." I say to myself, still in bed and in my Pjs. I look at the time on my phone and see it's 8:45, 15 minutes after we open. "Nevermind. But I should still get up." I stretch and sit up. "But my bed is so comfy though." I lay back down and close my eyes again.

"YO GET YOUR ASS UP Y/N/N!" My sister yelled while barging into my room. I immediately sit up again.

"Shit dude I'm up. You don't gotta yell." Soojin leaves my room and I throw my wonderfully comfortable blanket off of me and leave my inviting bed and get dressed for my grind on ToW.

Typically, I dress super lazy. Hoodie, sweatpants, and sneakers, but today I'll maybe help out in the cafe while also playing the game so maybe I'll wear a shirt, jeans, and sneakers. I put on my clothes and head downstairs to the cafe.

For those wondering, my sister and I live in the building the internet cafe is in. We are on the third floor of the building, while the cafe takes up the first and second floor. As for our parents, they recently opened up a second location on the other side of Seoul. We see each other every weekend, plus me and Soojin are adults so it's alright.

Technically, Soojin is manager of the place, while I do some of the tech work. We have a few other staff as well to help out. Speaking of, here they are.

"Oh good morning Y/n! Are you gonna work today or do we have to force you to work as usual?" Miyeon said.

"No I'm gonna try to help out and play at the same time. And don't lie Miyeon unnie you play at the front desk with Yuqi."

"Yeah whatever Y/n. Tell me if you need anything." Miyeon smiled and went to her spot behind the front desk. I take a look around the cafe. There has to be at least 60 gaming pcs here.

And I have to make sure they all work correctly.

I sigh and get to work turning each on to make sure everything is working properly. As I'm checking the computers people are already starting to come in and getting ready to play.

"Alright. All done. Time for me to play." I take my phone out and text our cafe group chat. There's only 7 people who work here including me and Soojin so it's not too terrible of a grouo chat. Except for Shuhua always flirting with Soojin. Which is pretty yucky.

Y/n: I finished checking everything. Text me if you need something, I'll be in the private room.

Miyeon: You got it 👍

Soojin: 👍

Shuhua: SOOJIN UNNIE GIVE ME A THUMBS UP I MADE IT ON TIME TODAY

Soojin: 👌

I smile at my phone. At least Soojin has someone that loves her and despite what she thinks Soojin does Shuhua back sooo.

I go up to my room and grab my black baseball cap and a black face mask. Wearing these does two things for me. It keeps people from talking to me and distracting me since I look pretty scary with only my eyes showing, and it just helps me focus on what I'm doing in game.

I walk back downstairs to the private room and look at my beautiful pc. I won it in a ToW high school competition during my first year of high school. So essentially, I'm very proud of this thing and I never want to give it away.

Time to slave away at this game I guess.

Ryujin's POV

"Finally class is over! I can finally relax and go eat and maybe- Nevermind I have homework." Lia said.

"Ha! That's what you get for taking 7 classes this semester you big dummy! I get like one homework assignment a week and that's it! I get to go to Idle Cafe and stare at the one girl in the private room!" I said to Lia while grabbing my backpack.

"Isn't she like our age?" She asked. We started walking off campus while continuing to talk.

"So I've heard. She doesn't wear a high school uniform in there anymore so I guess not. She's cute even though I've only seen her face like one time."

"One time? She doesn't show her face?"

"Nope. She wear a hat and a mask. I don't know why. Maybe I'll ask Minnie unnie or Soyeon unnie." We take a right on the sidewalk that leads us to the cafe.

"You think they'll tell you about her? You don't even know her name!"

"It's worth a try unnie."
