Hi so this is kind of a vent chapter cuz i feel like ass so
this is also inspired by the song 'I can't handle change' By Roar

Evan has recently moved to a school which is something he wasn't really interested in, New friends, New teachers? Don't get him started, He would probably have to stand in front of the class and introduce himself and even that thought started to make him shake as he stumbled into his first class of the day. Math.

Evan was doodling on his paper and sighed when he saw it didn't actually look as good as he wanted, the words 'Nothing You do is ever good enough' ran through his head, causing the slightly pale boy to sigh as he scribbled it out.

"Evan?" A name shouted when he got out of class. He turned his head to see one of his old friends, Connor Murphy. This caused Evan to smile slightly was he used his left arm to wave, a white bulky cast making it slightly harder. Connor approached Evan and they started a random conversation, Evan's stutter clear as he was shaking "Evan?"

"Y-yeah Connor..?"

"Why are you shaking and stuttering? Did i do something-"

"n-no! I c-can't help b-but repeat myself. I k-know it's not your f-fault, still lately i b-begin to shake f-for no reason at a-all.."

Connor nodded, keeping a mental note in his head basically telling him to think more about the questions he's going to ask Evan.

The next day at school, Evan wasn't there, this causing a text from Connor.

'Hey, Ev? Where are you?'

'I got sick, and when I get sick I get tired and loose the strength to weep so.'

'Get better soon, Treeboy🌳'

'Thanks con.'

Connor slid his phone into his pocket and let out a sigh before coming up with his 'master plan' to skip the rest of the school day and buy Evan chocolate, candy, ect.

He bolted toward the door of the school, Running outside and across the damp grass, this being from the rain, He took his phone out of the pocket and texted Evan 'Hey, What's your address? I wanna come over after school.'
The after school part was of course, a lie. But whatever

'***** *********' Connor examined the address, nodding.

'K, Thanks.'

'mhm, see you laterrr.'

Connor walked to the store, Buying chocolates before going to Evan's house, Knocking on the glass of the door

"Connor?" (I JUST PURPOSELY ALIGNED CONNOR WITH THE WORDS SO HIS NAME WAS THE 420TH WORD) "Heyo, Treeboy."

"Y-you said a-afterschool...?"

"Yeah well, I was lying about that, I got you some food cuz Yes."

"y-you didn't have t-to-" Evan replied, wincing slightly since his voice is hoarse from the sore throat he has.

"Can I come in?"

"oH yEah-" Evan moved out of the way for his friend, allowing Connor to walk inside the small house "Nice."
"T-Thanks." Some soft music was playing, bringing a slight smile to Connor's face, this of course didn't go unnoticed by Evan "Someone's smilingggg-"

"Im nOt-"

"t-then what's t-that?" Evan asked, poking Connor's cheek

"My cheek?"

"nO cOnnOr." Evan giggled

"Pff, Okay fine I'm smiling, don't attack me or I'll take the chocolates back."
this earning a small 'no' from Evan as he plopped onto the couch, taking some chocolate out of the bag.

Connor sat down next to Evan and y'know, suddenly being asked by your friend to be used as a pillow isnt as bad as you'd think "yeah sure bro."

Evan laid his head on Connor's chest, smiling as he ate the chocolate. This went on for a few more minutes until the sugar in the chocolate made him tired, He slowly fell asleep but Connot didn't mind.

Connor didn't mind at all.
