Story idea (28th October 2012) -
narrator: 95% of my novels I write in first-person, but I'm considering doing third-person this time, just to get myself used to it and build up my skill in THAT, too.
plot: a young girl, possibly with sisters, learning to be a witch. This idea literally just popped into my head less than 10 minutes ago, so it hasn't had much thought. I SUPPOSE it's sort of a mixture of the typical fantasy romance like Twilight etc and Harry Potter (though ive never actually read Harry Potter), going to a magic school + falling in love etc.
duration: In my head it seems like it's going to be a pretty long series, again like Harry Potter. Maybe seven books, with a terrifying cliffhanger at the end of each to keep the interest.
inside: AGAIN taking ideas from what little I know of Harry Potter, she's at a magic school and all these strange people and creatures are coming after her and trying to kill her for some reason.... there WILL be a love-triangle included SOMEWHERE along the line, but they're just so mainstream now, so I'll maybe have that going on for a book and a half to two books maximum
ending: haven't decided yet.... possibly she just defeats her enemies and tries to live a normal life in the countryside with her husband and children. I'm seeing her using magic to grow her garden for some reason? But maybe I'll change my mind and decide at the end, she gives up her powers so she can live a REAL normal life with a family.
So, do you guys have any thoughts?
