IT was a late foggy Saturday afternoon Starla decided to go for her routine run, after all, she's the star of track team, but this Saturday was different she ran her usual route but this time she decided to run through the trails instead around them and this trail wasn't your normal trails it was the witches trails also known as " The Witches Burial Grounds" so as legend says witches have hunted these trails for years, that they prey on females taking them into the woods never being seen again. But something in her was drawn to these trails that's why she always ran close by since she was a little girl she loved the woods and the Minges Creek trails which is the name, one night when she was six years old her father found her sleepwalking towards the trails at 2:00 am when he caught up to her, her eyes were white, she was slowly rising off the ground floating in the air with an electric glow around her that turned her hair platinum blonde her father John called after her but she wasn't responding so he ran towards her and soon as he reached her she slowly fell into his arms unconscious at that moment he knew what his daughter has become he knew her true self was just beginning. He was concerned about her that whole night but he knew he had to keep it from her until she turned eighteen that was her mother wishes, her mother Sky'la was a witch but of course, Starla didn't know any of this on her third birthday her mother was called to the woods to fulfill her destiny and she knew she couldn't outrun it she had to go so John later told Starla that her mother passed away from a heart attack.
As she jogged through the trails she sensed there was someone watching her she stopped and turned around, there was a woman she was dark-skinned, her eyes hazel green, long hair flowing down her sides as black as the night sky. She was wearing a long black and green lace gown with gold snakes wrapped around her waist her skin was glistening like diamonds a raven sits on her shoulders and a black panther rests by her side with bright green eyes, Starla was stuck gazing admiring this mysterious mystique woman before her, she slowly walks towards her but as she gets closer she starts to notice how similar the woman look like the one in her dreams and in her drawings. She opened up her mouth to speak but just that fast she vanished like she was never there, she turns around looking for her hoping she would see her but she can't find her so she started jogging again as she was leaving out of the trails she heard a voice call after her " Starla, Starla my darling" she turned around but no one was there the voice called again " It's time to come home, you must come home, Starla" it spoke her name one more time as it faded away. She was puzzled she didn't know if it was just in her head as she left she turned around once again and there she saw a group of women standing in the middle of the trails and just as fast as she seen them they disappeared just as quickly but one stayed behind for a brief moment, she was younger about the same age as her the girl whispered something to her at first she couldn't understand but she whispered again " my sister" as she said those words she smiled a wicked smile.
As she made it back to her condo she had yet another surprised waiting for her, her father John " Happy Birthday baby girl, " he greeted his daughter with a big hug. Hey dad what are you doing here? What you thought I wasn't going to come by and see my baby girl, on her eighteenth birthday" he smiled" I'm a baby dad " but you'll always be my baby" she couldn't help but smile as she noticed he had takeout bags in his hands " that wouldn't be my favorite Chinese food would it?" Yes, it is New China Moon, I figured you would be hungry after your jog" she smiled and helped with the bags " I am starving" she says dramatically. As they enter her home he walks in the kitchen and sets up the table, as they're eating and making small talk he can see something is off, he stops eating and looks at her " okay what's wrong you have that look on your face when something is wrong" Oh, nothing is wrong I'm fine dad " she responded while picking over her food.
