Everything came crashing down around me. Something was picking at my skin, needling at my flesh, but it was not too soon until I felt nothing at all.

The black was a smoke, pressing against me, forcing its way down my throat. Sounds came from underwater -- screaming, running footsteps, all around me. But no matter how much I tried, I made no sound. I didn't have it in me.

It was like reliving an old childhood nightmare, where I would be snatched away from my Dad, or friends, and no matter how hard I tried, I was unable to scream. They wouldn't notice a difference.

And just like that, the world came back to me just as quickly as it had gone.
