(Anna's POV)
The next day after having cried my eyes out, meeting the famous head Dragon riders, and blushing like my face was sun burned, I was ready to explore Berk a bit.
Valka told me Hiccup would be showing me his friends dragons first. Then he'd help me possibly train one! The only reason I'm excited, is because I'm hanging with the chief. Did I mention he's a total hottie!? Unfortunately, he's with that girl Astrid. But that doesn't mean I'm not happy for them. Hiccup took me to the academy to get started. He was pretty quiet and seemingly shy. How cute! God, I'm really crushing on this guy. Anyways we got to the academy only to find trouble.
"What in the name of Thor is going on!?" Hiccup asked Astrid.
"Snotlout made Toothless mad when he said you looked like a dork!" She explained.
"Toothless, calm down bud!" He tried calming his Dragon.
This was my first time having a good look at Toothless. Only one word popped into mind.... Adorable! He was super cute! He bright yellow-green eyes, cute ears, and a seemingly good attitude. Well...except for now. He was throwing a fit and trying to attack Snoutlout. Hiccup was holding him back, but ended up losing grip. Toothless let out a roar and charged. Snoutlout screamed and ran for dear life. Toothless was too fast thought and was ready to pounce, when I did the stupidest thing possible. I ran right in front of the enraged Dragon.
"Stop!" I screamed.
Toothless skidded to a halt in front of me. He eyed me with immense anger. I looked straight in his eyes and saw not just anger, but sadness. He was only defending his rider.
"Hey now. I know how you feel. You're just trying to defend and protect Hiccup. But, believe me this isn't the way to do it! You'll only make people fear you. I know that's not what you want. So, prove you're better than this" I said, smiling in a comforting manner.
Toothless looked at me with understanding. I don't know why, but I extended a hand to him. He slowly placed his muzzle against my hand. I gasped in surprise, but smiled at the same time. Toothless copied me and made a gummy smile. Now I know why they call him Toothless!
"Good boy. Now go on back to your owner. Snotlout's not worth it" I said, rubbing his muzzle.
He nodded obediently and went back to Hiccup's side. I dusted my hands and looked at the others. All I can say is the expressions were priceless! They all stood with mouths open and looks of complete shock.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"H-h-how'd you do that?" Fishlegs asked with wonder.
"I have absolutely no idea. I've never touched a Dragon in my life" I responded.
"That was awesome!" Said Tuffnut.
"I got admit, I'm pretty impressed" Astrid said.
They all turned to look at Hiccup. He was standing there speechless. He cleared his throat and tried to think straight.
"That was, impossible! Toothless never listens to anyone like that. Except me of course. But even then he has trouble!" He exclaimed.
Toothless looked insulted. I giggled at his expression. He snarled at Hiccup and turned his back to him.
"Is somebody pouting?" He asked Toothless, teasing him.
Toothless walked up to me and rubbed against me. I smiled and started talking in my baby voice.
"Did Hiccup insult you? He's just so cruel, isn't he?" I said, sticking out my lower lip.
Toothless whined and rolled over like a puppy while I scratched him. He's so cute! He grumbled with happiness. The others all stared at me with shock and wonder.
"So, what kind of dragon is he?" I asked, still petting him.
"A Night Fury. The unholy offspring of Lightning and Death itself" Hiccup answered.
"I noticed" I said sarcastically.
Hiccup rolled his eyes at me playfully. Butterflies were having a major party in my stomach. I tried my best not blush. I turned my attention to the two headed Dragon.
"And this is?" I asked.
"The Hideous Zippleback!" The twins said at the same time.
I approached the two headed dragon and gently extended my hands. The two heads gently touched my hands. I smiled and rubbed their snouts.
"Whoa! Barf and Belch never warm up to people that fast!" Ruffnut exclaimed.
It was pretty much the same with all of the dragon's. They completely loved me! After this all the gang would talk about was how incredible I was.
"It's almost as if you've got Dragon powers!" Fishlegs told me.
They all laughed and so did I. That was completely silly! I couldn't possibly have dragon powers. Right? Of course I'm right. I think.
