Chapter 5: It's Time

( Juvia P.O.V)

Master called the attention of the guild. Everyone looked up at him with determined eyes.

" Some of you brats must have been wondering how we are going to restore Fairy Tail to its former glory" He announced and was met with cheers of the guild. Lucy and I glanced at each other and joined the cheering.

" For the first team of the Grand Magic Games, we will have.." He paused giving everyone a bit of suspense. Lucy and I rolled our eyes and giggled already knowing the basics of the teams.

" Natsu Dragneel" Master yelled out and Natsu cheered. He sent a quick glance at Lucy and I quietly squealed. His eyes only saw Lucy. Lucy turned away with a huge blush.

" Gray Fullbuster" Master continued. Gray smirked and chuckled looking at me. I blushed as I remember the conversation yesterday. I threw him a quick wink which shocked him a bit and he turned away for some reason.

" Erza Scarlet" Master yelled and Erza smiled and cheered. Her eyes shone with confidence as she nodded towards Master. Sending a look back at Lucy, and I, she nodded. Wait... Did she now the teams before master announced them! How the hell did I not notice that before? 

" Lucy Heartfillia," he said and I tightened my hold on Lucy's arm. She leaned against me as she put her hand up in the fairy tail sign and the cheering grew louder. Natsu pats her on the head and Erza beamed at her. She looks at the master silently begging him to add me on the team.

" And finally" he states and Lucy and I death glare at him for stalling like this. He begins to sweat.

" Juvia Lockster" he states and I relax into Lucy as a charge of excitement goes through me. The guild cheers my name and I feel my cheeks flush. My lips stretch into a smile as I put up the fairy tail sign with Lucy.

"You will have a month to train and get ready" Master stated and those in the team nodded.

"We will meet in Crocus after the month" He finished and we nodded.

After the small party, all the people in the first team get together. Personally, I enjoyed being on the second team last year. It gave us more of a shock factor, seeing the faces of team 1 was all we could talk about for the rest of the day. 

" Are we all going to be training together. " Erza states and Lucy and I shake our heads. The rest of the team looks at us with disappointment and Erza nods sending us a calculating look.

" Why not," Gray asks stiffly looking at me his eyes accusatory. I know what I have to do.

" Lucy and I have a specially made schedule we want to follow" I state stiffly and I meet Grays gaze with one of my own.

My gaze challenging his Do we have a problem 

" That's an excellent way to train you two I wish you well" Erza states with a smile.

" Are you going to be okay Luce '' Natsu asks and I smile as Lucy reassures him.

"What will you guys be working on?" Gray asked, his eyes had a hint of suspicion. My eyes furrowed. They weren't this nosy the first time around. Gray's questions seem to spark the interest of the other two which were paying close attention.

" We will be working on increasing our magic power. Close combat, and learning new spells' ' Lucy said with a hint of annoyance that they either ignored or didn't notice. They nodded and wished us luck.

Lucy and I rushed out of the guild and ran to her apartment.

" They weren't that nosy the first time around" I state and Lucy nods.

" Hey at least we are making a difference" She states and we begin to pack. I have most of my stuff here so I got packed quickly. I should really just move in. 

" So how are we going to do this," I ask and Lucy smiles.

" Do you remember when I went to a different realm for a week?" Lucy said and I smirked.

Lucy and Natsu went to the realms in order to rally the other races in order for them to help us. Even though Natsu was our guild master he let Lucy take control of this and became her second in command. Much like how I am Lucy's second in command he let her take the lead but tried to murder anyone who came close to her.

They were gone for a day and managed to collect all the races to help us expect the demons.

" Yes I do, I also remember Natsu's face when he came back " I stated bemused. Natsu got really sick to the stomach due to the portals and the poor guy wasn't able to lift his head up for an hour. Lucy, on the other hand, stood clear among the rubble, proud of her new armor.

Lucy gave out a chuckle and rolled her eyes.

" Well time is different in the other realms one month here is more than a year over there" She states with a smile and everything suddenly became clearer. That's how she was able to get reinforcements so fast.

" So for us, we will be gone for a year" I state and Lucy's lips tighten. She nods and sighs.

" Yes, this way we can get our strength and magic up in the god's realm without much of a problem and work out any other kinks that time travel caused us." Lucy continued and I nod.

" So do we just want to strengthen our magic and physical power or are we going to learn god slaying this time" I state. Last time I wanted to learn god slaying but there wasn't enough time. Lucy learned the basics of celestial god slaying, but I wasn't able to grasp it in time.

" Of course Juvia but we have to say we learned it through a book like Chelia and not through actual gods," Lucy told me and suppressed a squeal. I will be learning god slaying.

Lucy took a look at my face and let out a laugh. For a second it looked like she hadn't been through a war and was just a normal mage.

She lifted her portal key and bellowed " Open before me portal to the gods" and light enveloped the room. A white portal was in the middle of the room. With Lucy's hand in my own and protecting my family in my mind, I stepped into the portal and let the white light cover me.
