Chapter 7: Training and missing home

( Lucy P.O.V)

I entered the portal with Juvia by my side. As she entered she stumbled a bit but quickly got her balance. She blushed a bit and looked away. I gave a quick laugh before I turned around and absorbed my surroundings

I smile crosses my lips as I take in the beauty of the Gods realm.

Clouds were dancing at our feet the islands in the middle were held down by large chains. I looked at Juvia to see that she was wearing a greek style dress.

I still when I hear footsteps coming near me.

" Lucy Sama what are you doing here" I hear a voice say and a small smile graces my lips.

" I am here to continue learning God Slaying magic and to improve my strength with my second in command" I state with a nod towards my trainer.

Celest is the God of Celestial magic.

She trained me in Celestial God slaying magic but I haven't mastered it yet.

She nods with a small smile and then looks at Juvia.

" She is one of the waters, thus she will train with Aquamarine" Celest states and Juvia nods.

Before I can react I was floating towards the island. I can barely move without stumbling, I look towards Juvia who looks like a child on Christmas. She is staring, starry-eyed at the clouds and was trying to turn upside down. She was laughing a bit and a smile crosses my lips. I turn to face the sky and relax a bit.

After a while a hear Celest hit the ground and I turn upright just in time to land on my feet. Juvia wasn't so lucky and she fell on all fours with a pout.

I hear Celest give a clear laugh and Juvia blushes. I let out a giggle that is cut off by a gasp of awe. The first time I was here I was summoned inside the temple and didn't leave the meeting room. So seeing all of this up close was literally magical.

" The my training ground is over here, Aquamariens training ground is next to mine," Celest said and Ju-chan sprinted towards the other training ground.

" Alright Lucy Sama since you only have half of your original strength we will be doing strength training first then you will learn Celestial god slaying and improving your magic power. " Celest finished and I nodded.

I was given a literal house to share with Ju-chan and I loved it. We would talk about our training when we got home and Juvia would make desserts. Sting is the best chef I have ever met, but, Ju-chan comes pretty close. Our schedule was a bit simpler than I expected.

The first month was strength and endurance training. We would be carrying weights on every limb of our body and run around the island until we dropped. We would then run up a literal mountain, with the weights still on. We weren't allowed to take off our weights unless it was an emergency. To add to it our weights were increased by 5 pounds every day. We started with 50 pounds on each limb and ended up with like 200.

The second month was focusing on close combat. With our weights still on we were taught some new forms of close combat and relearning our original fighting style from the war. We started out slow doing the basic moves and then continued to fighting at our past speed with weights on.

The third month was improving our magic power. For this month we did our warm-ups which consisted of running around the island 10 times and running up the mountain. Then we moved on to meditated to increase our magic power for 5 hours and stretching our magic containers to hold the new magic for 3 hours.

And the rest of the time we spent learning god slaying. I trained at night for this so I could be closer to the starlight. I got it a lot faster than Juvia, nut it was kinda unfair because 1 I already learned the basics of gathering magic the last time I was here and 2 thanks to my god star dress I already knew most of the moves.

Ju-chan asked me why I was learning god slaying if I could already use it and I had to explain that my star dresses aren't as strong as the actual magic. I can use the star dresses for what I don't know, but I would rather learn how to use it in its original form.

Thanks to me learning how to use god slaying earlier than Ju-chan I decided to learn heavenly body magic.

Celest is a great teacher she is kind and really strong, but she isn't pushy.

Aquamarine, on the other hand, is a sadistic teacher according to Ju-chan.

We also learned some easy basic magics. Such as teleportation, basic healing, basic elements, mind reading, and Requip for Juvia.

It felt like we were actually here for a month and not a year. We got our old armor back and I and very happy about this. What I didn't realize in my time is that my old clothes are very impractical. Like really I can barely run in my last outfit without having to pull down my dress. Not to mention that Juvia was dying because of the heat.

One of my favorite things that I learned was how to control starlight. Not to mention when I mix my Celest star dress with my actual magic power the result is amazing. We met several of the other gods who remembered me as their general and bowed to me every chance they got. Lastly, Ju and I got accustomed to our past attitudes again and are now back to being ... us? I look at the god's world for one last time and we walk through the portal...
