you had the urge the take off your shoes and throw them away from you, anywhere.
"so, how am i supposed to act again?" you were struggling on the high heels you were wearing. casaidy had told you to wear them but you were starting to regret not going with the flats you'd wanted to take in the first place. you also didn't remember seoul being this windy in the middle of spring since the last time you had visited. Yet, that had been when your mom took you, as a reward, shopping at the big mall at the age of twelve.
casaidy rolled her eyes and you pouted at the action, "y/n, i've gone through the procedure over a thousand times already. now, let's go in."
don't mistake the intentions, on one hand, you wanted to go in, but on the other hand, you were starting to feel a little anxious to actually interact with groups of living, blood-pulsing, human beings. it made your mouth salivate just thinking about it. which made you scold yourself mentally for the thoughts that were starting to form in your head. you didn't want to go on a blood-lust rage.
you tried to steady the adrenaline that was starting to course through your body at the reaction of your instinct for blood.
"miss, are you okay?" casaidy whispered to you as a group of young ladies passed her, giggling with each other. their dresses were short and their faces were made prettily, something casaidy still knew how to do until today even with her minimum skills in makeup and lack of being in the human world to know the current trends. casaidy looked at you, who was focusing on the door a few feet away from you guys.
could you really hold yourself back if you went in the bar?
and then his face came into your mind, and all of it went away in a snap. you broke from your blood-hazed thoughts. you blinked your eyes a few times before facing casaidy with a blank face, "i-i'm fine cas."
casaidy sighed in frustration, "you are so stubborn!"
you rolled you eyes. you'd heard that so many times from her that it didn't even surprise or affect you in any way. you just wanted to lead away from the topic she would most likely ramble about; you and your illogical actions.
"yeah okay. now, i'm ready. let's go." you said, trying to also reassure yourself with your own words.
casaidy sighed for the millionth time that night, looking forced as she walked in front of you towards the door where music was blocked at the minimum from blasting. casaidy wasn't really sure how much clubs had changed since the last time she'd been to one; which had been in the late nineties. unlike the buildings and dark alleys she'd been used to, now they were in front of a building that was in the middle of a rambling city, a lighted neon sign hanging in the front for all to see and saying the club's name. hot spot.
that said a lot.
"okay young one. let's go in." casaidy opened the door and waited until you walked in first for her to follow on your trail. the music was booming and people were huddled in tight groups here and there. you tried to exhale as you heard another type of pounding voluminously increase in your ears. it was distracting and wanting of you, making your form shake a little.
"miss, are you okay?" casaidy laid a hand on your shoulder. you swallowed and nodded at her. you at least wanted a drink and to dance a bit before actually thinking about leaving.
"i'm fine casaidy. let's go get drinks." you lied.
casaidy's eyes narrowed slightly in worry. she didn't like the look of things right now, but didn't say anything otherwise. she knew better than to defy you, the young mistress, and ended up just nodding her head solemnly, "as you wish."
