Your love was like a lost letter,
/Like love letters drowned in the ocean/
Stumbling,from post office to post office,
//a flight delayed back to home//
The home you uprooted from your very own hands,
The home you rarely ever spared a glance,
The home that longed to hear your echo,
The home that chanted your name,
The home that worshipped your shadow,
Each night,
//Hoping for spring to return//
For a flower or two to blossom,
In times of this famine and drought,
In time of damage,one so collosal,
It decorates itself with thunder.

Look me in the eyes and tell me could you really not see all the hurt painted right across my face? Could you not feel the pain screaming in my voice,screams of agony,begging you to stop.Or in that sheer moment did you see me as a gentle helpless flower you could pluck anytime you desired?
Oh how I ached for you to become the fire,one that would be give me warmth on a cold sunday night,but you ended up being the very fire that burnt me down
