About Time | Momotarou x Reader

This was it. Today was going to be the day Momotarou confessed his true feelings towards her. Today, he was going risk it all with this one confession with a girl he has loved for so long.

It was none other than you. (F/N) (L/N).

Sometimes, when he was around other girls, he would tend to be the same loud pestering boy trying his best to make them notice him. But whenever it was you, he would always end up in a flustered mess.

He really did fall deeply in love with you.

But he had many doubts about your feelings towards him. He was afraid that you might reject him, and even more so if you left him. Because for all he knew, you might already have someone else in your life.

But even so, this persistent teenager was going to try and win your heart anyways.

"(F/N)-chan!" A familiar voice called your name as you were walking along the pathway. When you turned to see who it was, you realised it was none other than your very close friend and crush, Momotarou. You waved as he ran up to you and give you his cheery grin of his.

"Morning, Momo-kun, I was just going to the park, wanna come?" you asked with the same smile that Momotarou loved.

"Sure!" he laughed as he walked along side with you.

As the both of you strolled around the park, you both talked mostly about the schools you were attending and the things that were going on. But the thing that was bothering the peach haired teen was the confession.

It had been on his mind for a while and he was debating whether it was the right time to tell you. So many things were rushing into his mind that he didn't notice that you were shaking him to see if he was alright.

"Momo-kun, are you alright, you've been acting quite weird. Was it something I said?" you asked in concern. As soon as he regained his composure, he decided that it was time to tell you now.

To your surprise, the boy placed his hands on your shoulder, shut his eyes tightly and shouted out these words as loud as he could...

"I LOVE YOU (F/N) (L/N)"

Those words instantly made your heart race at the speed of light, make your eyes widen and the skin of your face turn into a deep shade of red and send many people's heads to turn to where the shouting came from.

You couldn't believe your crush confessed to you.

You lifted his face to see his golden eyes looking straight into yours and the many shades of red cover his face.

At first, he thought you were going to reject him but then beamed when you give him a small peck on the lips.

"I love you too, you Sea Otter!" you giggled.

The people who saw what happened, applauded and both you and Momotarou held hands and bowed.

"It was about time you said those words Momotarou!" you grinned while looking at him in the eyes once more.

"About time, indeed."
