< Caroline POV >

*hours before Ariel and Klaus leaves*

"Well she hasn't come up to talk to me about much. I figure it's because I'm pregnant and due any day now." Melody says rubbing her stomach. "I heard Hope is here in the library."

"She is, the kids don't want to talk to her or see her. I feel bad. She's lonely in a big castle." I sigh hugging one of her pillows. "What's funny is I was suppose to be here for Ariel and I'm here with you." I giggle at her slightly.

"I'm offended. Get out of my room." She pouts making me laugh more. "But I get it. It could be awkward seeing him trying to talk or get close to Ariel and I know how stubborn she can be." I nod in agreement but then a head popped into the room.

"Hey Aunt Caroline, hey Aunt Melody." Lilith says walking over to us.

"Hey Lilith, where are the others?" She looks behind her and sighs walking back out. "They're afraid of Melody. She's pregnant and her emotions are out of whack." Melody rolls her eyes and Lilith shoves the kids in the room.

"Well we just came here to see if Aunt Caroline would like to go to the mall with us? We all want to go and-" I cut her off smiling.

"Of course I do. I love shopping, especially if someone else is paying." I stood up heading for the door. "Bye Melody, Kol take care of her." I waved walking out the door.

"Wow she leaves me for shopping." I laugh as we headed downstairs. I see Klaus talking to Hope silently as he's looking out the window.

"Hey Hope?" Lilith asks making them look our way. "Um, we were wondering if you would like to go to the mall with us?" Lilith asks shyly.

"When did we decide this." Henrik grumbles and I hear my daughter smack him on the back of his head.

"Be nice. Ariel asks if we can be nice to her and take her out with us. She's been more into your history than you two." Lizzie says.

"Um, no it's okay." Hope says looking down.

"See the girl says no great." Klaus sighs deeply turning back to the window.

"No, she's coming with us. Hope go change or get your shoes on. You need to get out." I tell her, she gets up quickly rushing out the room.

"You guys need to stop being like that if Ariel is saying for you guys to try. Try. Wouldn't you be bored and lonely if you're just in the library by yourself?" I ask them the twins and Henrik nodded in defeat.

"She hasn't been alone. She's been with me." A guy comes up to us smirking. I look at Klaus and he gets annoyed. "I'm Dean. Sams brother. Hope's mate." He introduces himself.

"Hey Dean." Lilith and Henrik say in sync. "Congrats on finding your mate. I know you've been waiting for quite sometime." Lilith say politely.

"Yeah, can you guys please be nice to her. She's been lonely and without me she really has no one. Her father is trying to get back with your mother so she really is alone." Klaus turns away looking sad out the window.

"I mean I get it. You're trying to get back with her. I don't blame you. Mates need each other. But without her dad she's really by herself. To tell you the truth. Sam told me that everytime Ariel looks at Hope she gets sad and broken all over again. So Ariel can't talk to her." He whispers the last part to us. "Please try to befriend her. It's not her fault." Dean pleads to us.
