"Princess is here!" I hear the kids yelling as they came out of school.
"What did we show you when the Royal Family comes?" A teacher asks Ariel felt a wave of sadness but she brushes it off.
"It's okay. How is everyone?" The kids giggled running up to me.
'You look really pretty.' 'Did you even have kids?' 'Why do you look so young?' 'My mom looks older than you and she says you two are the same age.' 'We missed you.' 'I drew this for you Princess.'

"Oh my gosh this is beautiful thank you." A small little girl drew a picture for me.
"Don't tell my kids but they never drew me so pretty like this." I whispered to her she smiled hugging me.
"Who is he Princess?" Everyone looks at Nik behind me.
"This is my mate. He's Henrik father." I tell them, they waved at him confused but smiled at him nevertheless.
"So who would like a story?" They ran inside so I could read to them.
** hours later **
"Well everyone I think your parents are waiting for you outside." I tell them standing up.
"But I want to stay with you." They whined not wanting to leave.
"I'm sorry kids, but I'll tell you guys a secret." They all huddled together as I whispered to them. "When I become Queen if everyone of you get together I'll come see you guys when I get out." I promised them. They nodded excited running out to their parents.
"You'll be a great Queen." A teacher tells me as she smiles at the kids running.
"Thank you." She curtesy and leaves after the kids.
"She's right. You'll be a great Queen." Nik says from behind me.
"I hope so. I feel like I have doubts but yet I know my parents taught me well." I look up at him.
"Well whatever it's worth. They raised an amazing and caring daughter."
I find myself leaning into him wanting nothing more than to kiss him but there's that little reminder. Sighing I pull away walking outside towards the other. My heart is breaking but because I can't give into him. I mean I can but than I'm scared he'll do the same mistake again.
"Princess, you're needed at the center." My advisor says I nod getting back into the car.
Most of the times I hate politics, but it is my turn due to the murder of my parents. I don't plan on disappointing them.
Finally we arrived at the town center in the middle was the stage and a large group of adults close to the stage.
"Ariel, whenever you're ready." Sam says nodding at me. Taking a deep breath I nod at him.
"Everything okay?" Nik asks, I nod smiling at him slightly as Sam opens my door.
"Princess!" Everyone hell's taking pictures and asking questions. I made my way to the stage slowly but surely. The questions hitting home making me want to tear up but I was deciding against it.
Nik stood at the edge of the stage watching me. I smiled at him as I finally looked out towards the crowd.

I tried my hardest to keep the tears at bay and the many questions about my parents. They all became silent as they saw me struggling.
"So as many of you know. My parents the Queen and King of the Wolves. They were murdered a few days ago." The crowd gave a moment of silence in respect. "They will be avenged. As you know Lucifer is an Angel and ruler of Hell. He's helping us find out who's done this. We have someone in custody who started a revolution in taking the Queen and King down and trying to kill me." The crowd went crazy with questions.
"Who is it?" "Will you make it public?" "Will the funeral be public?" "When will be your coronation?" "Will you be fit to be Queen so soon?" "What about your children?" "Why is your mate here? Didn't he cheat on you?"
The last question I turned away sucking in a sob that threathened fo escape. Nik tried to come on stage but Sam held him back whispering in his ear.
"Why would you become Queen? You're part vampire you shouldn't be allowed to be Queen." "We should have a vote on who becomes Queen."
Finally putting all my emotions in check I cleared my throat waiting for them to quiet down.
"Monday, I'm making an announcement to every wolf. It's about the coronation. Everyone will have to wait. Next, there will be a public funeral after everything is settled. Also, me being a part vampire it just makes it so I'm alive for a longer time."
A few people shouts out insults but the majority don't mind. Since how my parents ruled most of my family have the same mind set... little do they know things are about to change.
(Short and boring sorry but don't I don't what to write about this chapter.. buuuut because I made other chapters just skipped this one 😂😂)
