He couldn't believe it was actually happening. After all this time, it was actually happening. Felix was back with Valentine. It was a typical crappy winters evening on the Saturday Felix and Valentine were going to see the movie. Dark grey clouds drifted through the sky letting thousands of droplets of water hit the earth beneath them. The sun didn't even try bothering to put up a fight and submitted to the whims of the clouds easily enough. Cars screeched outside his house as visibility was so low that drivers had to blast up their headlights to the maximum, allowing visibility for them. Unfortunately, the car only earned a horn blast and puddle splash as the car in front tries it's best to swerve out of the way of the bright as hell headlights.

As Felix walked along the foot path in a clad pair of blue denim jeans and a warm black coat with an umbrella sticking out of his hand, he started to get fed up with the constant pelting of the rain. It was slowing his pace to get to Valentines house immensely and he was already late because he had overslept. If only he could speed up... Or maybe slow down entirely. If Felix could freeze time, he could get to her house within the next second and not have to worry about the rain. He stood still for a second and concentrated. Then, everything stopped. Birds lay suspended in the air with their wings open, traffic lights were stuck on orange, even someone in there car had their face frozen at a point of distortion that reminded Felix of Shrek shouting at Donkey. The rain no longer fell on Felix and it wasn't cold anymore. No more cars screeching, horns blasting, nothing. And so Felix made his way to Valentines house with all the time in the world.

When Felix got Valentines house, he knocked four times on the mahogany and waited for her to come outside. When the door opened, Felix was welcomed by the most beautiful girl in the world. She was wearing short black denim shorts with an oversized red jumper with lipstick to match the jumper. Her hair was left in waves of gold flowing down her back and her cute little feet were covered by a pair of white converse. She leaned forward and planted a kiss on his lips. It wasn't a long kiss like the night before, but it still sent an electrical pulse through both of their body's. "You ready to go?" asked Felix. "Course", she smiled. Valentine took Felix's hand in hers, while Felix undid the umbrella, and led the way towards the cinema. "So what movie are we going to see?" asked Valentine. "Mmm, if I told you, you wouldn't want to come watch it with me" he replied. "Ooh no please don't be a horror, last time we watched one of those I couldn't sleep for a week" whimpered Valentine. "It'll be alright, it's not a horror" winked Felix. They came to a crossing with traffic lights and pushed the button for the green man. Luckily, as soon as they got there, it went green. Felix bent down and said "You start walking across, I have to tie my shoe laces" "Okay". As Valentine started walking across, a car turned the corner at 80 km/h and didn't see the red stop sign. As it turned the corner, Valentine was halfway across the road. Felix finished tying his shoe laces and looked up, just as the car hit Valentine. Her blonde hair smacked the wind screen and her legs were smashed together by the front bumper. Her arms folded in automatically as a sense of protection, but nothing could stop the force and her arms were crunched too. As her head hit the road, blood trickled down from her scalp and turned blonde to ruby red. Felix screamed.
