The cold wind sliced through the air. Freezing water swirled menacingly under the a creaky boat. Darkness shrouded the men in the boat, but none of that diminished the determination of the man leading them. A small flash of light revealed, for a second, a man standing erect near the front of the boat, leading them into battle. General Washington was about to make history. But first, he had to take a selfie. Caption: "sneaking up on the British. #for-the-colonies." Just as the soldiers were lined up, ready for battle, Washington tagged General Cornwallis and posted it to his Instagram page.
Smoke clouded the streets and silence hung in the air. The evidence of battle was apparent almost everywhere in the town. A distant flash pierced the darkness. General Washington posted another selfie to celebrate the victory at Valley Forge. #victory.
