It had been exactly two days since everyone had last spoken. Damien had sent letters luckily in code to Thanes apartment detailing the layout of rooms, staff halls, and tunnels. Though, they were helpful shaking the guards would be a completely different story. Now knowing how she got in last time they would now cover all entrances in and out of the palace. Thane had multiple maps, books, and letters spread out across her kitchen table going back and forth between documents of the architecture of the palace when it was first built and the more recent ones. They weren't covering many secret entrances. Mostly starting a few hundred yards behind tree lines. She couldn't help but laugh at there stupidity.

Now that her entrance was no longer a problem the next problem was finding a space large enough to corner the hybrid. The only rooms large enough to cater that was the throne room and the ballroom. Thane constantly went back and forth the architecture Plans to both rooms and declared that a great deal on the palace heavily depended on the pillars for support. It was decided that the ballroom would be the palace. Even batter had tunnels leading towards the upper walkway which was a good spot for a perch.

Quickly, in the same code that Damien had written in Thane wrote back. With it being sealed it vanished in her hand and a reply came back in a matter of minutes.

' I'll see what I can convince the prince of. He's still not too happy with my treasonous actions from the other day but he somewhat decently understands the threat at hand. And will help get this ' thing ' out of the palace within reason '

Thane rolled her eyes at the paper in her hands. Tobias needed to work with them just this one time then he could go back to playing Try and find me. On another sheet, she drafted a plan that would most likely work but plans where usually thrown out the window when it came to hybrids. The only thing she had down was a surprise from above and make up the rest as they went along. After some thought and four cups of coffee, a decent plan was laid out on the piece of paper in front of her. She sent it to Damien back in the palace and again a reply came into her hand.

' there is no other option then what you've come up with. The Prince wants to keep contact with this hybrid down to a minimum with the palace centries. He wants the fight contained within the ballroom and only the ballroom'

Thane rolled her eyes and wrote back ' The Prince can kiss my ass! He doesn't know the full extent of what we're dealing with. And as for keeping the fight contained I don't know the capabilities of this hybrid. For all, I know he could throw me through a wall. Just tell the Prince I can't make any such promises but it better to put this thing down within two days'

Another reply ' His Royal highness understands and will help in any way he can'

It was long after nightfall when the letters from Damien stopped coming through. She had burned every single letter that talked about what they were planing. Thane opened the door or her closet and started pulling items with heavy leather, thicker material, anything that would help keep wounds shallow. Finally, she settled on double leather lined corset with a leather long sleeve jacket the buckled at her chest. Thick leather pants, her knife belts, along with everything else Thane would need.

The next morning Thane turned on her side looking out at the window. The streets already crowded with by goers looking at the many booths lined on the streets. Smells of fresh baked goods filled her room making her stomach growl. Slowly she pulled herself out of bed stumbling towards the washroom filling her tub with scalding hot water. Thane hissed as she slowly lowered herself into the water scrubbing down her whole body. She stayed in the water until it turned cold. She started to dress in the clothes she had set out the night before when she was done looking in the mirror there was nothing left for the imagination. Everything clung to her body like a man holding on for dear life. She pulled her cloak over her shoulders pulling the hood on with a packed bag over her shoulder she closed the door behind her. Out on the streets, her feet stopped in front of a merchant's storefront the man handed her a sack of supplies and she placed a small purse of coin in the men without saying a word.

Walking through the crowded streets yet again Thane started walking the back roads of the city. Soon at the edge of the streets met the forest her feet continued walking into the thicket of trees and underbrush. Eating an apple she stumbled into the overly man-made tree crawling under it she slid into the hole into the tunnels.

" fucking idiots" she chuckled

Within her hand, a spark went off causing a small fire to take over her hand lighting the wall through. Many turns later she climbed flights of stairs making it to the other floors and to the royal wing where the family resided. Thane knocked on the stone dead end and it opened to the prince's chambers.

" That's how you got in last time?"  Tobias said not looking her in the eye.

Thane  grinned "There are multiple ways to get into this heap of stone"

" are there now?"

" So many" Tobias looked up from the paper on the table to see Thane winking at him.

" Welcome" Damien gripped her into a hug " I hope slipping past the guards was simple"

" extremely"

"Excuse me, Damien?" Tobias cut in " She is a known criminal"

Thane rose her brow " hardy'

Damien ignored the two and handed Thane the layout of the ballroom floor. Her eyes skimmed it and handed it back.

" I'm ready to get this son of a bitch"

" That makes two of us" Thane smiled at Tobias that quickly turned into a smirk.
