Jessica never showed so I ended starting my walk home alone. I know Vane will want to walk home with me so I'm gonna have to hide in the crowds of people and run. I put my head phones in my ears and played so music so I'd have an excuse for not hearing him if he called. Then when I got to the spot where he always meets me, I ran. Yeah run stupid. Voice said with a weird laugh. I didn't even know it could laugh.
"I'm going." I said. I looked back and ten bumped into someone. Vane. Now you've done it!! Voice said.
"Will you shut it?" I said to it. Vane titled his head.
"Who are you talking to?"
"Oh um nobody. I um, no one." I smiled at him. You really suck at lying.
"I know." I hissed. Vane laughed and took my hand .
"You wanna go over to my house again? I wanted to talk to you."
"Oh no thank you. I've got a ton of work to do." I pried my hand from his. I smiled and started walking.
"Oh come on! I bought beer and everything."
"That's another reason I shouldn't go. I don't wanna get drunk."
"You can just have a little." Vane said as we got to the cross walk. I pressed the button and waited.
"No thanks Vane. I've go stuff to do maybe next time." I walked out when the light lit up and then went as fast as I could to my apartment. Move your ass! He's right behind you. Announced voice.
"I get it!" I yelled running to the elevator with out thinking and then closing the door. Then I realized where I was.
"What?! No let me out no!!" I banged in the doors. To bad for me because the elevator didn't let me out and it did it's worst. Thanks. I've really gotta move. As I came out of the elevator, I didn't have to through up but I felt rather dizzy. Dizzier than last time that is. I glared at it.
"Bloody thing." I only said it because I liked how it sounded but it was true. Why have that thing like that? It made no sense at all. I've complained about it but the manger told me to grow up. Well if he hasn't noticed I'm 21. I rolled my eyes and turned around. This wasn't my floor. There were plants growing up the walls and butterflies all around. The carpet was now grass and there was no ceiling. I looked at the floor number. I was in the right spot. How could I be? The other day it looked like trash pit. I saw my apartment. Room 122. That was it. Maybe in dreaming. I shook my head and walked into my apartment. It looked the same. Candles every where and brunt toast from this morning. I opened my front door to get another look and when I opened it Vane was there waiting for me. I almost pissed in my pants.
"Oh my god, I didn't see you." I said with a laugh.
"Can I come in?" Vane asked. Say no stupid. Voice was talking again. Why wouldn't just shut up?
"Look I'm trying." I said to he voice. Vane looked at me.
"What? Who are you talking to?" I starred at him.
"No one really ha ha. I can't have you come in right now in busy." Vane raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really? With what?"
"Nothing of you business..." I smiled at him and tried to close the door.
"Come on. I won't stay long."
"Good bye Vane." Then I slammed it shut. He opened it again.
"Please. I just want to talk to you. No beer or anything. Please."
"Go away."
"Please."
"Your reuse aren't you?"
"Jack!"
"Ugh fine but not long. I've got important stuff I do." Really I didn't by I didn't want him in my house so why not lie about having important stuff to do? I let him in and closed the door behind him.
"Watch out for those candles in the floor. They are every where."
"Candles? Oh my god." Why are they all over?" Vane stepped over them and then starred at all the candles in my kitchen. He looked at me.
"I just happened to like candles. You leave raw meat every where. I rather have candles on my floor then raw meat and busted tooth brushes. Vane rolled his eyes and we sat on the couch.
"What do you want to talk about?" I asked with a smile.
"Why don't you like it when people touch you? Why did you move here? What's with all the candles and who are you talking to? Is is someone I can't see or hear?"
"We'll I can't see them either." I said looking down. Vane pushed me down on the couch and held me there.
"What are you doing!!??"
"Tell me about yourself and the people you knew."
"I don't want to talk about it." I tried to shove him off but he was like steal.
"Tell me." He lowered his head and sucked on my neck. I closed my eyes.
"Vane I barely know you! Get off!" I was able to get my legs free and I slammed my foot into his skull. He tumbled off the couch and hit the wall. I sat up and wiped his spit from my neck.
"Get out of my house and stay away. Forever! I can't stand people like you!"
"Jack, I-"
"I'll call the cops. GET OUT!!" Vane grinder his teeth.
"Fine." He stood and with out making a noise, he left. I laid back and felt tears roll down my cheeks. I wiped them away. Do people not change? Do they just not care? Or an I cursed or something? Does bad luck just fall on me? Will you quit it? Relax. You have a purpose in your life. I want you to finish your work, eat some soup and take a nice long nap. When you wake up I the morning, you'll feel better. Oh and I'd advise you to open you front door quickly tomorrow and to take the stairs to the 2 floor. Then use the elevator the rest nights way. The voice. Did it just give me advise? I thought thy this voice hong was all me, or was it? Chills went down my back. Weird. I nodded.
"Okay voice. I'll do it." Oh um there's a bug in your couch. Vane put it, there smash it.
"A bug? Now why did he do that?" That must be the only reason he wanted to come in my house. Creep. I found the bug and smashed it. Ha. That's probably the only reason he kissed my neck like that too. He was trying to get the bug in there with out me noticing. Idiot.
"Thanks voice, remind me to stay away from him." My name is not voice. It's auger. The "a" is not capitalized.
"Why?" I asked sitting on my floor. Well, I'm dead.
