I tried to talk to auger a little longer but he/she didn't want to talk to me for once so I left it alone. I'm guessing it's a boy since it's name is auger but you never know any more. Later this week he still hadn't said anything so I wanted to reconnect with this auger. So, I went to a sketchy part of town where all the thieves are and the "magic" stuff is even though half of it is just nonsense. I didn't want nonsense. I wanted something real. I wanted a ouija board. Most of the shops didn't have one when I asked but I found one in the way back that had some hanging outside if it. I picked a good looking board up and went inside to buy it. The lady there was young. She wore very normal clothes for this place. A t-shirt and jeans. I smiled at her and set the ouija board on her counter.
"I want to buy this." She looked at me and laughed.
"You don't want this. This board has been returned to me many times."
"Did the people chicken out or something?"
"No, the board and what ever is connected to it killed them and appeared back on the porch right there in front of the shop." She pointed.
"I don't care. I want to talk to a spirit. At least that's what I think it is."
"What? You don't even know what your talking to? You'll just end up like all the other people."
"I've never heard of all these people dying."
"Wouldn't it be it be in the news or something."
"It was. Last year. My whole shop was inspected because someone who took the board had a friend with them and they were able to get away from the killer ghost which is impossible unless you inhuman." She took out a news article and pointed to the top headline. It read in big letters:
OUIJA BOARD KILLER OR NOT.
"The case didn't last long and I was let of the hook by thy one guy that was with his friend kept trying to get me in jail after the whole thing. He never did but it was annoying. It's not like it's my fault they upset the spirit."
"Do you know the name of the guy?"
"Yeah. Vane. He lives in a creepy little apartment that's probably got a hex on it. Have you been to apartment 2245?"
"I live there." I said scratching my the back of my neck.
"So you agree with me that it's weird right?"
"Yeah. The elevator is not normal and I've been living there for a month and the hall always changes its look all on its own. I thought I was just crazy and now, I'm pretty used to it. And about that guy Vane, he lives right next to me."
"Wow. I really should go over there again." She looked up at me and got closer.
"Do you mind if I come over some time?" I gulped. I don't even know this girl. I could risk it.
"Nah, that's fine. Are you trying to get to Vane?"
"Yeah. I just want to see how he's doing. Do you talk to him?" I thought back to an hour ago when he was kissing, no sucking on my neck. I pushed the thought out of my head.
"Yeah I talk to him. We had a fight like an hour ago so I don't know our relationship now."
"That's okay. When can I come over?"
"Maybe later at night because I have work but give me a call." We exchanged phone numbers and she told me her name was Tessa. We took a picture together and then she gave me the ouija board. She told me to cover it with a damp rag and put in a closet or something so the spirits wouldn't come out on it's own. Apparently since the apartment building I live in has a hex on it, it makes it ten times easier for the stupid ghost to come our. So, when I got home I did as she said and then I went to bed. Ugh more work tomorrow.
