a/n: a bit of detail you need to know about masumi here: since masumi recieved a serious eye injury that damaged his pupils slightly (the scar across his right eye), his right eye is a bit discolored and it's visuals were damaged too, so masumi can't see clearly. the right eye seemed to have dragged the left eye's vision down a bit too, which often happens when one of your eyes suffered an eye damage, masumi had to wear thick glasse with a high degree in order to see clearly lmao.

"ne, do you like heroes, new kid?"
"uhm..."
masumi stared at his shoes. he did not like them very much, seeing as they were always very flashy and all that, and a little bit clingy too.but he did like the underground heroes, like eraserhead. maybe he could tell him that? will he be friends with him if he said so?
masumi looked up hopefully, just to find the boy hopping towards his other friends, abandoning masumi.
ah. well, not something to be so sad about. he should've expected that.

shouta needed sleep. a lot of sleep.
at the start of this school year, his 'bear, mouse, or a dog' superior principal, nedzu, suddenly announced to the entire u.a. staffs that, he was going to sign a contract with the ministry of defence, saying that he will allow the ministry to recommend the most capable students in thir place and train them. seriously? now that they actually issued a student who was literally UNDERAGE to his class without a single word, so now shouta had 21 students to take care of.
however, he was quite greatful he did not have to teach this 'yoarshi inasa', who decided he wanted to choose shiketsu instead of u.a. one less student to take care of.
as shouta walked lazily with his yellow sleeping bag into the classroom, he captured a sense of unnerving tingling in his spine. it was almost as if mad hatter was here all over again. he swore he felt the chill this time though, having encountered with it just a night ago, but decided to focus on more important matters at the moment.

of course. he just knew there would be a quirk assessment test.
masumi tried to ignore the questioning stares his classmates gave him for his bandanges around his right arm as they stood on the p.e. grounds. uraraka ochaco voiced. "what about the opening ceremony? or-or guidance lessons?" she said, confused.
aizawa-sensei went on to list off how people could not realize their quirk's potential as they were prevented from using them during middle and elementary school, and proceeded to tell the class of 21 students about the gym tests done before.
"bakugou. " masumi watched in simple amusement as aizawa called the spikey blond, bakugou katsuki, or also known as the kid who got first place in the normal entrance exams. masumi was sent the results of all the normal entrance exams in the email kinura-keiji sent him. it seemed that the blonde was an extremely arrogant but strong hero-to-be.
although masumi did not know the quirks of his classmates, he made a mental note to himself to learn about them later on. as bakugou grabbed the soft ball from aizawa, the class watched on in pure awe as an explosion erupted in bakugou's palms, just after a loud cry of "SHINE!". the result on aizawa's phone, which he lifted up for all of them to see, showed bakugou's score to be about 705.2 metres.
