Bay Windows

 ° prologue °

A boy sat looking out the window, until a flash of chocolate brown caught his eye. He peeked past his curtains, the velvety green material swaying slightly with the breeze. The house beside the Black resident had been empty for quite some time. But when the boy looked out his pristine windows, a candle light shown through the neighboring bay window. A figure moved around the room, picking things up and placing them across the room. He tilted his head curiously.  Questions flashed through his head. 'Who was moving in?' 'Are they wizards?' 'Are they nice?' 'Are they purebloods?' 'Is there someone my age?' 'Will mother like them?'

   That night at dinner, Walbuga Black announced the new neighbors were infact, Purebloods, and they would be attending dinner with the Black family in 8 days time. Sirius rolled his eyes and she scowled at him. Regulus winced, he hated it when his brother and mother had fights and arguments. Soon after, Regulus asked to be excused, and wandered up to his room. A soft melody came from the opposite window, with a girls voice humming along to the song. It was a beautiful song and voice, Regulus felt soothed and calmed by it. It felt so reassuring and safe. The doors of the window pane were open. The young boy got a idea, taking a piece of parchment, he scribbled a quick message on it. 

         'Hello.' He folded it into a mini plane and blew it to the room across from his. A minute went by before a response fluttered in, landing on one if his pillows.

      'Hi?'

'I'm your neighbor. Hogwarts?'

'Oh, yes.' 

'Regulus Black. Slytherin. House?'

'Ravenclaw. So your the famous younger Black brother?'

'That would be me. I never caught your name.'

'You never asked.'

Authors Note- [ Hello! This is a story about none other than Regulus Black... There are a few things I need to add before anything else. I own absolutely nothing except Astrid and her character \ plot. Everything belongs to J.K Rowling and the Harry Potter Universe. I might have someone collaborating with me, but I'm not sure, that's up to them. If they do, credit to them and I will mention them in the next chapter.
