Records and Watercolors

   Most of the time, no one was allowed to touch Astrid's record player, but there was one exception, Regulus Black was the only person who dared touched her music player without  being thoroughly threatened.  There he sat, adjusting the knobs while she was picking out a new vinyl. She perked up as she found the one she was searching for. It started and Astrid began to twirl and sing along to the song. Her mother had taught her to dance, as a proper lady should be educated on dance etiquette, so the girl had been dancing since childhood. The record player was a gift from the girls aunt, she figured if you wanted to dance, it's best to have music. 

Regulus took her hand as the music started, he too had been taught as a child. Pureblood galas were quite frequent, and ballroom dancing was a necessity. 

   They twirled gracefully, laughing when they stumbled, humming along to the music. As the music came to a close, Astrid sat in a chair by the ornate desk and Regulus flopped onto his bed.

"What do you enjoy?" Astrid thought aloud.

"Well, I always loved to sketch. I don't know why. Maybe because I'm allowed to make mistakes while drawing, it so soothing to me. I mostly sketch people or the view from the common room."

Astrid smiled. "Watercolors are fun, because you can create something beautiful even if something goes wrong."

Astrid had quite the reputation at school, Regulus hadn't met her before the summer but he heard rumors. Quite honestly, she was scary when she was angry, and he had only witnessed her upset once. She had received a letter from her older sister one day while she and 'Reg' was talking about Hogwarts, after reading it, she was fuming. Of course, she was quite a character. She never backed down from what she believed in and held a look of confident and superiority when talking to anyone other than Regulus. To everyone's suprise, they formed a strong friendship and spent much time in each others company. They were excited to go back to Hogwarts, surely it would be a storm.

     Between the two, they held alot of power and significance at the school. Besides the mauraders, the pair was the most widely known, feared and respected people at Hogwarts. Their family's were both high on the totem pole of pureblood familys. 

Hogwarts wouldn't know what hit it.

I edited this, alot. So there were alot of changes. I feel like this was better than the previous version.
