Alvira read the nameplate saying Dr. Kabir Singh. She waited for him to finish when he finally kept the files aside and focused his complete attention to her.

"Mrs. Chaudhary, main Sahir ki hi reports examine kr rha tha. I must say he was lucky to get treated on right time. Otherwise consequences could have been harsh. Jiss tarah se cuts lagaye gye the, arteries ko bahut zyada damage ho skta tha", he revealed.

A relief took over Alvira's face as she silently sent a prayer to God thanking him for showing the mercy on her son.

"Dr. Singh, mera Sahir theek to ho jaega na?", she asked.

"Well, physical injuries to kuch dino me theek ho jayengi. But I am afraid Sahir mentally recover kr paega ya nhi", he told.

"Aap aisa kyun bol rhe h Doctor?", Alvira asked tensed at his words.

"Look Mrs. Chaudhary, Sahir ka doctor hone ke naate yeh mera farz h ki main aapko saare possibilities ke baare me phle se hi bata du. Main aapko kisi tarah ke andhere me nhi rakhna chahta", he told in a calm voice.

"Doctor aap kehna kya chahte h? Saaf saaf kahiye kya baat h", Alvira demanded.

Kabir explained, "Yeh ek suicide case h aur hospital ke rules ke according mujhe sabse phle Police ko inform krna chahiye tha. Pr aapki halat ko dekhte hue mane koi action nhi lia. But I must tell you that suicide cases me patients ki mental health deeply affect hoti h. Sahir khud ko dobara nuksaan bhi pahuncha skta h. Aur agar aise phir se hota h, toh mujhe Police ko involve krna padega".

"To hume kya krna chahiye? Main apne bete ko yun tadapta hua nhi dekh skti", Alvira asked as tears started flowing out of her eyes.

"Hume sirf itna dhyaan rakhna h ki usse kisi baat ka stress na ho. Main request krunga ki hosh me aane ke baad aap usse koi sawaal na puchhe. Usske mind pe kisi bhi tarah ka pressure nhi padna chahiye", he explained to Alvira as she sobbed silently.

He offered a glass of water which she drank in one gulp. She felt calmed & relaxed after drinking water. Kabir puts his hand on Alvira's to console her.

"Don't worry Mrs. Chaudhary, Sahir ko kuch nhi hoga. I'll make sure usse yahan ki best services mile", he assured her.

Alvira wiped her tears and asked in her wet voice, "Main Sahir se ek baar mil skti hu Doctor?".

"Abhi usse hosh nhi aaya h. Usske hosh me aane ke baad hume kuch tests krne honge, phir aap chahe to usse mil skti h", Dr. Kabir replied with a polite smile.

Alvira got up to leave but turned as soon as she remembered something, "Dr. Kabir, Sahir ke treatment ka kharcha main jld hi chuka dungi".

"Oh no no please, aap bill ki chinta mt kijiye. Woh pay ho gya h", Dr. Kabir told her.

"Kisne dia?", Alvira stared at him questioningly.

"Mera mtlb h ki hamare hospital me ek Fund Quota hota h unn patients ke liye jo treatment ka kharch nhi utha paate. Maine baat ki h wahan se kuch adjust ho jaega", he told her smiling a bit extra this time.

"Allah ka shukr h jo aap jaise farishtay aaj bhi duniya me maujood h. Aap jo mere Sahir ke liye kr rhe h main aapka jitna shukriya kru kam h", Alvira said being thankful to Allah and him. Dr. Kabir did not meet his eyes to her while she was thanking him.
