Chapter 13

Grant

  I walked into the kitchen to her standing there like she owned the place.  We haven't been together in five months so why is she coming around now.

She was wearing a oversized dress that fell down to her knees. She looked slightly bigger then when I had seen her last not that she really looked fat just pregnant. Meaning she had moved on so why was she in my mothers home. Of course the day I decided to bring Hannah to meet my family she is here.

"Mom can we talk for a moment in the other room?" I ask glaring at her as Hannah takes a seat next to Jane. She nods going into the living room where my father was as I looked over to Hannah giving her a smile before following behind my mother.

"What is she doing here mom?"

"Oh Grant she was walking around the neighborhood with her mom so I said hello and offered to have lunch with us once I realized how pregnant she was. She said she had been trying to call you for months." She said crossing her arms.

"Her child isn't mine. She was cheating on me with Luke If you don't recall the reason we split up. I also blocked her number so I had not received any calls from her."

"Grant she is five months pregnant." My mom said glaring at me with her momma bear look.

I looked at her for a moment trying to think of the timeline of our relationship. After my brother died I barley had sex with her as I was depressed. Grieving the lose of my twin brother who was my best friend really didn't make me in the mood to do it all the time. Then I found her with Luke in my bed out of all places two weeks after the loss of my brother so no the child isn't mine. I'm sure she doesn't even know who the father is.

She sees I am happy now. I'm sure mom didn't fail to mention my soon to be a dad news to her which made her think she would come in and destroy my relationship with Hannah. Hannah will always have the one thing she doesn't. The title of being the mother of my child.

"I'm clearing this up right now." I say annoyed as I walked back into the kitchen.

Hannah looked very uncomfortable as she was playing with the bracelet around her wrist. Jane was amusing her self by playing a game of candy crush her favorite game. I know that's  the game she is playing from the song that was coming from her phone. Personally I hated that game. Madison was leaning against the wall smiling in my direction as she started rubbing her very pregnant belly.

"Maddison what are you doing here." I ask walking over to Hannah kissing her head before standing behind her to massage her tense shoulders.

"Well I'm sure your mother informed you that I am five months pregnant with you child to which I have been trying to contact you for months but every time it goes straight to voicemail." She said smiling  down at Hannah.

Hannah tensed more underneath my grip before looking down at our unborn child.

"If you don't recall I didn't sleep with you but once the last two months we where together to which I find you in my bed with Luke. So maybe you should be up his ass not mine." I tell her with a laugh.

"Luke and I used protection and got interrupted by you so he didn't even finish. There for there is no way it's his. I also remember us having sex more then once the last couple months of our relationship. This child is yours." She says coming closer to me rubbing her arm against my shoulder.

Hannah stood up quickly "I think I'll just have Sammy come pick me up I don't think I should be here." She says practically running to the front door.

"Hannah wait." I yell after her. "Maddie the only child I have is the one in her belly. We used protection and I know our condoms never broke."  I tell her before going after Hannah.

"We didn't use protection every time Grant." Madison yelled.

I stormed past my parents running out the door finding Hannah sitting on the steps on the phone with Sammy i am sure.

"Sammy just skip school and come get me I really need you my mom is at work and would kill me if I called." She said in a whisper voice.

I come up from behind her sitting next to her before grabbing the phone from her hand softly.

"Sammy it's Grant, I will get her home safely. We had a small misunderstanding but she is okay I promise. Enjoy the rest of the school day she will call you later I'm sure." I say waiting for her to agree before hanging up handing her phone back to her.

"If you wanna go home I will take you or we can go back to my house to have lunch while we watch your favorite movie." I say rubbing her lower back.

She shook her head no, "Grant it's okay, you are having another child and you know her more then me you have a past. I'm sure this is overwhelming news. If you want her I'd understand." She says looking into her hands.

"Hannah the baby is not mine. I was well aware of her pregnancy as Luke told me once he found out and wanted nothing to do with her as she had cheated on him as well." I say pause pulling her closer "Luke doesn't even believer that it is his and I know that it is not mine. The timeline doesn't add up, I don't want to be with her. I wanna be with you my girlfriend."
