"Huh?!" I asked once again, more confused than ever.

My older cousin, Gilbert. Let out a sigh, and placed a firm grip on my shoulder. "Please, just this once. Can you please take care of her?" I blinked more than I should of.

I wracked his hand off my shoulder, "Nope! Dietfried gave her to you, you should take care of her." I turned on my heel, only to be stopped once again.

"Please, (Y/N). I think you're the only one that can make her understand, that she isn't just a tool and is human." I inhaled than exhaled.

I turned my head, just to see over my shoulder. "Fine, but you're getting me food after this." Gilbert smiled, pulling me into his chest.

"Thanks (Y/N). I knew I could trust you." I shake my head, petting his.

"Yeah, anything for you cousin."

I stood in front of the new recruit. Now that I look more at her, she's really pretty for someone our age.

No wonder Dietfried kept teasing me, saying "She's cute" "You'll like her a lot (Y/N)" "I think she's the type of girls you're into." I swear, I should of punched him in the nuts when he said all of those.

"What's your name?" I asked, but didn't get a response. We were the same height, I stood face to face with the quiet blonde.

"So, you don't have a name?" I asked again, and she shook her head and a gave a quiet "yes". I sighed and crossed my arms, great. Now, I have to the name the girl.

I tapped my brown leather boot against the grass, it was nice today for once, not raining or storming or cloudy.

I looked around the yard, where we were standing. And by a tree, I saw one small violet. 'One of my favorite flowers', then I suddenly had a small smile on my lips.

"Alright, from today onwards. You're name will be Violet." I say out loud, with a bright grin on my face. The girl now named Violet, tilts her head to the side slightly.

"V-Violet.." She slowly repeats after me, "Yup, and I'm (Y/N). But you can call me Captain, since that's my rank." Violet keeps staring at me, then randomly starts to salute.

"Yes, Captain. Any orders?" I sigh and push her hand away from her forehead.

"We have a long way to go."

I gasped, as I opened my eyes from my slumber. Or more like one eye, I couldn't see out of my left.

I grunted a little as I tried to take the blanket off of me. As I did that, I took a glimpse at my left hand.

The whole thing was bandaged, from fingertip to probably my shoulder. Once I finally got the bright clean white blanket off, I sat up and looked at myself from the body mirror.

I looked like a mummy, the left side of my head was patched up. Covering the vision of my left eye, my neck was also bandaged up as well.

What the hell happened? That's what ran though my head, then a knock at the door was heard. I pulled from staring at myself and looked towards the door, "Come in! The door's open!"

Hodgins came in, along with a nurse. "H-Hodgins..?" He put a bright smile on his face, "Hey (Y/N), how have you been?" He asked, standing at the foot of my bed.

I pulled a smile to my face, "I don't think I've been good. I mean, I look like a mummy." I chuckled out, he joined as well.

Then I suddenly stopped, which startled him. "Where's Gilbert?" I asked, going to a serious topic.

He pulled his gaze away from me, and started staring at the floor. "Hodgins-" "Gilbert didn't make it." He cut me off, slightly raising his voice.

My eyes went wide and I started tearing up, "W-What about Violet? I swore to my cousin I would protect her!" I stood up from my resting bed, and stood face to face with the former Lieutenant.

He still kept that look on his face, "She's alright, just resting up like you." I let out a sigh of relief, and sat back down. Covering my face with my hands, "Sorry Gilbert, I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I failed as captain."

Hodgins placed a comfort hand on my back, and rubbed slightly. "I know how you feel. But, I don't think you're cousin would like to see you like this. You know as much as me, that he wants you and Violet to live happy lives with each other."

I let out a small laugh, "You make me and Violet sound like a couple." He smiled back. "You two look cute together, as I remembered." I laughed again.

I shoved him away, he placed a suitcase down and opened it. Showing me the clothes in it, "I picked out the stuff that you like." I smiled again at this man's childish behavior.

As he left the room, I can change. I stood up again, and started taking off my hospital clothes. Once I pulled my pants to my waist and zipped it up, I looked at myself in the mirror again.

My body was covered in scars, all scattered all over my body. I had little ones on my cheeks, across the bridge of my nose. The nurse took the bandages off of me, I had a big scar over my left eye. I permanently can't see out of that one, the bandages were also around my neck.

There, it sat. A big gash on the side of my neck, it started near my throat and ended where it lines up with my ear. I let out a big sigh, and continued dressing myself.

I grabbed a black tank top, putting the material on my body. I then grabbed a white button up off the bed, my whole left arm completely fell off. So, they had to replace it with an artificial one made out of metal.

It was covered up with bandages, I told the nurse to leave it. I buttoned my shirt, leaving the top button undone and popped the collar.

To complete the whole outfit, I grabbed my black eye patch and tied it around my head. I looked at myself in the mirror, I slightly glared at my hair. I just pushed my hair back, having loose strands fall out.

I walked out the room, and met Hodgins outside. To help him, to put some stuff into the taxi. "Dang, why do you have so many luggage?" I asked, putting the last one in the back of the car.

"It's yours, my stuff and-" "Captain..?" He was cut off by a quiet feminine voice. I grabbed the trunk and closed it, "Sorry ma'am, I don't serve in the military any-" I turned around and slightly gasped at the sight.

Violet stood in front of me, holding her suitcase. "-more..." My voice dies down, looking at the girl in front of me.

"Captain..?"

"V-Violet..?"
