Eyes.

Every time Yoongi closed his eyes he remembered his father. He remembered each time he was locked in a freezer and left to shake and cry until he passed out. He remembered each punch his father would deliver to him. He remembered each degrading word his father spat at him.

"You're weak Yoongi, and a disappointment to this family. Stay inside, you'll only disgrace the Min's if you leave, I worked hard to bring us to where we are today, and I'll be damned if a worthless son like you drags it all away."

It's the last thing his father said to him before he was punched into a puddle of his own blood.

He replayed that day over and over in his head, until he found himself pressed against a rusty sink dragging a blade across his milky wrists.

Each slice he'd make made him feel free, it made him feel in control. It made him feel powerful. Though it was the first slice that made Yoongi decide to run away and reclaim his freedom from his father's powerful hold.

He'd spend the next year wandering around the streets of Seoul, finally experiencing life as something other than constant fighting and murders.

As normal as Yoongi attempted to make himself there was one thing that always difficult for him, trust. No matter how far away Yoongi got, his fathers' words always stuck inside his head haunting him constantly.

He could still feel the knife digging into his bruised thigh slowly as he'd let out a piercing scream.

"Now Yoongi, we'll try this again. Who can you trust?" his fathers sickeningly sweet voice would tease.

"M-me, only me." Yoongi would manage to stutter out pain still evident in his voice.

His father's expression would once again grow dark as he'd sigh shaking his head.

"You silly boy, you never learn nor listen." His father would utter before digging the knife deeper into Yoongi.

He couldn't scream anymore, he could only wait for the pain to stop, though it never truly would.

As hesitant as Yoongi was he had made a best friend, Jimin. He was a small boy, equally as tiny as Yoongi but with an explosive outgoing personality. Yoongi found himself genuinely having fun when he was around the boy. Jimin brought out the best in him, and completely changed him, at least on the outside. It was Jimin's bubble-gum pink hair and constant begging that made Yoongi change his plain black to a minty green. Though it was just a hair colour to some, to Yoongi it was rebirth of his personality and a restart to his life.
