Ariel Fabray was not known to hate much. She liked almost everything out there. Designer clothing, fancy food, and sports. Probably the only thing Ariel does not like is the Cheerios of McKinley.
There are too many of them and their personalities sucked. Cheerleaders like her sister Quinn sucked (the ones who were all about popularity and being in control), but others like Santana Lopez didn't. It wasn't like Santana isn't anything like Quinn, because she is. She's just as selfish and manipulative as the blonde cheerleader is. It's just the fact that Santana took the time to actually make friends with her that made her different from most of the other Cheerios. She doesn't care for Quinns rules and Ariel absolutely loves that.
Ariel smiles softly, staring at Santana through the bathroom mirror as the taller brunette tightens her ponytail. "I heard that Mr. Schuester's revamping some new club."
Santana pats the sides of her cheeks and twists Ariel around so that they were face to face. "Who cares? I doubt anyone would join."
Ariel sends her friend a look, "I saw like three people sign their names on the sheet he put up."
"Brave," Santana comments, crossing her arms as they begin their trek out of the bathroom. "But also stupid. Whatever Schuester's offering is totally gonna end up leading to social suicide by the end of the day."
Ariel shakes her head. "You have this super weird vendetta against him; that's the only reason you hope his club flops."
"That's not true, he's terrible at Spanish."
"We dont let him know he's terrible because it's entertaining," Ariel grins, bumping her hip with Santana's, watching as a small smile slowly ghosts over her lips. "Besides, were passing Spanish anyway."
"I don't care if we're passing Spanish, the kids at this school are literally making fools of themselves whenever they speak it. We need a fluent, Hispanic teacher."
"You could be fighting a good cause if you tried a little harder, you know." Ariel comments.
"My reputation would be in shambles, Ariel! Could you imagine me on Rachel Berry's radar."
Ariel rolls her eyes, "Oh, the horror."
Quinn, Ariels previously mentioned older sister, strides up to them in all of her irate glory. She halts in front of Ariel, clearing her throat. "I need to talk to Finn about something."
Ariel watches her expectantly. Quinn exhales a harsh breath, lurching forward to wrap her fingers tightly around Ariel's wrist. "That little gnome Rachel Berry has been perving on my man for the past two days and I am sick of it."
"And where do I come in?" Ariel's eyes dart behind her lock with Santana's. The brunette shrugs, trailing behind them. "My name wasn't mentioned at all, Q."
"I need you to distract Rachel." Quinn orders. "You like girls and guys, right? Flirt with her, get rid of her — I don't care. Just get her to stop making eyes at Finn."
Ariel did not like the fact that her sexuality was being used against her, but if it meant that her sister would be happy she would do as told.
Ariel refrains from rolling her eyes, glancing down the hall, spotting Rachel. She gives her a once-over, watching as she looks at herself through the mirror she had set up in her locker. There was no doubt Rachel was gorgeous. Her hair was a shiny, espresso color and her eyes were a sparkling chocolate brown. It was a shame she got so much hate for putting herself out there.
"Fine," Ariel shifts on her feet to address Quinn, "I'll do it, I guess."
Quinn allows a bright smile to grace her features, letting go of Ariel's wrist. "Great! Now to find Finn."
Behind the two Fabray sisters, Santana gnaws at her lip. Something about the plan that Quinn had set up for Ariel did not sit well with her and she had no idea why.

In a typical Fabray manner, Ariel struts her way up beside Rachel, matching the shorter girls pace easily. Ariel glances down at her for a moment to evaluate her reaction.
Her eyes held that sort of wide-eyed look that screamed 'I know for a fact that I'm about to die', the corners of her lips were tugging downwards, and she clutched her books tightly against her chest. Ariel hoped that by the end of their conversation, Rachel Berry would ease up.
The Fabray smiles charmingly, shifting closer to Rachel. "So I noticed that you passed your audition."
Rachel doesn't respond for a moment. Ariel parts her lips but Rachel interrupts her. She stops and turns to lock eyes with Ariel. "What do you need from me? Are you and your neanderthal friends plotting to murder me?"
"Not at all," Ariel begins, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "I just wanted to congratulate you on your audition. I heard you when I was passing by the auditorium and I thought you were amazing."
Ariel lied. She had never been in the auditorium at all. She didn't even know where it was. She was only a Freshman and her sister was always by her side. She's never allowed to stray far from the blonde cheerleader.
The lie was worth it, Ariel realizes. Rachels downturned lips had begun to curl up into a smile at her words and, all in all, Ariel thought that Quinns plan was going to go pretty well.
